Just then, as she turned, she collided with someone. She stumbled back, barely managing to catch herself, and when she looked up, her heart sank.

Sidharth stood before her, his expression unreadable, his eyes cold and distant.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice clipped, his gaze not quite meeting hers.

"Yeah," she said hesitantly. He nodded.

"If you have time, I need to talk to you about business matters."

Meera's heart twisted painfully at his tone, the formality of his words.

"Not now," she said, her voice coming out sharper than intended.

Her mother's words kept ringing in her head.

"Meera-" Sidharth started, but she cut him off, her temper flaring.

"I said not now!" she snapped, her voice laced with irritation.

Sidharth's eyes darkened, and before she could react, he grabbed her arm firmly, pulling her toward the exit. He had it enough.

"What the hell, Sidharth?"

Meera protested, trying to tug her arm free as he led her down the hallway, away from the crowd.

The music grew fainter, and soon they found themselves in a secluded corridor, away from prying eyes.

He finally released her, and Meera yanked her arm back, glaring at him.

"What is wrong with you?" she demanded.

Sidharth's jaw clenched, his frustration evident.

"What is wrong with YOU? Why do you keep pushing me away?" His voice was strained, his eyes searching her face.

"I'm just trying to help."

"Help?" Meera let out a humorless laugh, shaking her head.

"Mujhe tumhari madad nahi chahiye, Sidharth. I don't need your charity."

Sidharth's eyes narrowed, his temper flaring. "This isn't about charity, Meera. It's about your future-about what you said you wanted."

"Well, maybe I changed my mind!" Meera shot back, her voice rising, her emotions unraveling.

Sidharth ran a hand through his hair, taking a deep breath as if trying to calm himself.

"You're not making any sense," he muttered, his voice filled with frustration.

"I'm saying this once and for all," his voice dangerously low.

"I keep my personal life separate from my business. And this isn't some joke or timepass where you can just change your mind!"

"Leave me alone," Meera barked back, only making him angrier.

He took a breath, trying to control his anger. "I'm not sure what's going on with you, but you REALLY need to stop overthinking everything!"

"Overthinking?" Meera laughed bitterly.
