A/N: Thanks to my friend qazse with help on reactions and to my brother for making the script and the video: "The Singing Serpents! Somnacanth Lore". Be sure to watch along as you read, or watch first, then read. Subscribe if you haven't and check out his other lores and other videos to help him get up his watch hours, that's his big concern right now.
The Admiral let out a big yawn as he stood in Seliana. "Rough night, Admiral?" Sai asked as he stood before the older man.
Said older man let out another yawn before speaking. "Yeah, you know. It's tough running everything around here." The Admiral explained, before letting out a tired groan.
Sai crossed his arms in response. "Yeah, I know. That's why you put the Commander in charge of everything so you can harass Nergigante all day. We've been thinking about staging an intervention for that, honestly. If only for the Nergigante population if not for you." The Sapphire Star called out the "leader" of the Commission.
Many in the group couldn't help but laugh. "Jeez. If he's actually putting a dent in the Nergi population, I think it's about time he finds himself a hobby." Coco giggled.
"He DOES have a hobby. Hunting Nergi!" Yang laughed.
"Well, then it's a terrible hobby. And that intervention is necessary." Ironwood said.
"Indeed. If it is true that Nergigante is a balancing force of nature, keeping other Elder Dragons in check, then diminishing their population will cause those Elders to go out of control." Winter pointed out.
"And besides! Their innocent! They only hurt people that mess with them first! He should leave those poor dragons alone!" Ruby insisted with a pout.
Quite a few members of the audience sweatdropped at this. (She's starting to sound obsessed with those things...) Summer thought, along with a few others.
The Admiral gasped at this. "How dare you! Following, researching... and fighting... Nergigante is very therapeutic and relaxing! It helps me sleep! I've been having trouble with that lately." The muscular man defended his strange choice of hobby.
"I agree with the Admiral. I can only imagine fighting Nergigante would be therapeutic." Hazel admitted.
"Few things in the world are as satisfying or relieve stress quite as much as a duel with a truly worthy opponent." Adam agreed.
The rational members of the group gave yet another sweatdrop to this. "I'm starting to think YOU TWO need to be in therapy." Cinder told them.
"STARTING to think that? I thought that from the moment I met them." Emerald said.
Sai straightened up at this. "Oh, why didn't you say so? I think I know a monster that sings a beautiful song that could help with that." The host assured his boss.
"Ooh! A monster that sings! Awesome! I wonder what kind of music it does!? I hope rock music!" Ruby said excitedly.
"I highly doubt it. Likely just some form of vocalization like other animals. That being said, it has piqued my interest." Weiss admitted, now actually looking forward to a monster for the first time in a while.
A pale young woman with a scar over her eye was singing in a concert. "Singing. While humans do it for stress relief and emotional expression, among other reasons, many members of the animal kingdom use song for a number of reasons. While it's mostly for mating purposes, like most birds, some species of monkeys and even walruses, some use it for communication among their community, mark their territory or to alert their brethren of danger." Sai began as a blue jay, walrus and howler monkeys were then shown.
