A Dark Battle

Once Sonic entered the lair, Scourge turned around and smirked. "Oh so you actually came back? I thought you'd run off like the little bitch you are." "Why? You were happy to here you wouldn't get your ass beat?"

The green hedgehog chuckled, "actually I was afraid you'd make things harder for me. Now that you're here, I can finish what I started." "You know you never struck me as someone who finishes things." "That's not what your girlfriend said."

Sonic's eyes widen. His face started to change from a calm, mad hedgehog to an evil, blood hungry killer. He launched towards Scourge with rage getting ready to deliver the first punch but missed, resulting in Scourge performing a roundhouse kick to Sonic's back sending him flying to the other side of the room. This kick caused one of Eggman's inventions to be greatly damaged.

Sonic got up slowly and brushed himself off. "Come on Sonic you're not giving up are you?" Sonic didn't answer and simply sped up to him, punching him in his stomach, sending him flying outside of the lair. Sonic stepped out of the base and as soon as he did, the doors slammed shut. They were not getting back in there.

Sonic turned his attention back to his opponent, who was now getting off the ground coughing. Scourge ran up to Sonic and the two started a hand to hand combat. Some hits matched each other while others would land causing some damage to one another.

After hit by hit Sonic managed to deliver a heavy hit to Scourge, knocking him to the ground. Sonic took this opportunity to start hitting Scourge countless times. Scourge was taking every hit. Each hit he took made him angrier and angrier and angrier. That is of course until he couldn't take it anymore. He raised his leg and kicked Sonic off of his body.

Scourge got up with blood pouring from his nose and mouth. He held on to his arm in pain as he walked closer to Sonic. He released his arm and swung at Sonic very weakly, which Sonic dodged with ease. Sonic then pushed Scourge to the ground and stood over him.

"Well now I see someone's given up. Too bad, just when I thought I was having fun." Sonic said with a smirk. Scourge started to smile evilly as he coughed up blood. He turned his head to Sonic and said weakly, "you know *cough* someone should've taught you that looks can be deceiving." Sonic looked at him with a shocked expression. He stepped away from Scourge and stared at him. He saw Scourge close his eyes and a light surrounding him.

Scourge's body was lifted into the air and he was engulfed by an even brighter light. Soon after, the light began to fade and what once was an evil green hedgehog out for vengeance now became an even greater terror.

Scourge's well known green fur was replaced by a dark purple color. His eyes now pure black while his pupils changing to bloody red. He was now super Scourge.

"You know? I have to thank you. If you hadn't brought the last chaos emerald, this wouldn't have come to be." Sonic started to back away from the powerful hedgehog. "With the negative energy of the emeralds I can finally have my revenge. Now DIE!!"

Scourge flew straight at Sonic but before Sonic had a chance to react Scourge's fist landed right in his stomach. Sonic grunted as he flew to the hard ground and quickly stood up, dodging Scourge's attack. Scourge quickly did a 360 and delivered the next attack to Sonic's back.

Scourge then jumped on top of Sonic, turned him around and put in some free hits, just like what Sonic did before he went super. Each hit made Sonic weaker and weaker. He wanted to absorb the power of the emeralds but Scourge was already using most of it so it wouldn't have done anything.

Scourge gave one last punch to Sonic's face. Sonic winced loudly at the excruciating pain on his face and lower abdomen. Scourge stood over him smiling and laughed evilly as Sonic painfully tried to get away.

The dark purple hedgehog clapped his hands in delight to Sonic's suffering. "Wonderful. This is truly the revenge I have been seeking for a long time. Simply watching you suffer. Even though I've been seeking revenge to make you suffer, I've always dreamt of you dying. So how about this, let's make my dream come true."

He walked over to Sonic and kicked him in chest repeatedly, "how pathetic. *kick* this is supposed to be my opposite. *chuckles, then kicks* Some hero I guess. I can't believe something as hot as Amy would chase after you for so long. *kicks* maybe now I see why she gave up on you and went after 'Mason'. You're no hero. You're a pathetic excuse for one. *kicks* you think people will fond over you because your dumb trademark thumb, your stupid ego, and your horrible smile. *kicks* Looks like Mr.hero couldn't even save himself this time." He stopped kicking him and picked him up.

"You know, when the island crumbles and fall there will only be one person to blame. Oh yeah, since you'll be dead, you think Amy would be interested in me?" Sonic's eyes widened. ooo, "actually I don't really give a fuck what she wants, I'll just bang her and make her my servant." Sonic had heard it all.

He grabbed Scourge's wrist and spoke with great fury. "You will not lay a hand on my Amy." "Says who?" Sonic started shaking in Scourge's grasp. Scourge felt the vibration and dropped the hedgehog in slight fear. He then took a step away from Sonic.

He stared at the shaking hedgehog and widened his eyes as Sonic's royal blue fur changed to a pitch black color. All his broken bones and bruises started to heal up as well. As that happened a black aura suddenly surrounded his new form and it made Scourge slightly tremble. The new form of Sonic looked up at Scourge to show his pure white eyes with no pupils.

Scourge started to back up again as Dark Sonic stood up. Scourge wasn't gonna let his new form scare him, no, not after he was close to victory, "w-w-what the hell are you? And don't you dare say my nightmare cause if you knew me, you'd know my nightmares are my blissful dreams." He smirked at the black hedgehog. Sonic just stood there, "actually I'm worst than a nightmare. I'm a reality. And you are NOT touching my Amy!"

Scourge flew towards him and grabbed his neck and tried choking him. That failed as Dark Sonic grabbed his arm and started breaking it. Scourge cried out in pain. "ErrrARGHHH!! I-I don't u-understand!!" Sonic threw Scourge on the ground and grabbed his leg. He started twisting it until he heard a crack and Scourge scream bloody murder.

Sonic was now pounding away at Scourge breaking a lot of his bones. Scourges super form was now fading away and the emeralds lit up. "How?! How is this possible?!!!" Once Scourge was in his normal form, the emerald floated towards Sonic and surround him, making him glow brightly, even though he was still in his Dark form.

Soon the emeralds' light faded and the emeralds dropped to the floor. Dark Sonic was now floating in the air as he was now, dun dun dunnnnn. SUPER DARK SONIC!!!! Teehee.

"How are YOU able to absorb the emeralds' energy when I had it first?!!" His new form growled furiously and looked at Scourge. "Look Scourge as Sonic, I'm not keen on killing others." The green hedgehog smirked and looked at super dark hedgehog. The black hedgehog smirked showing his fangs. "The thing is.......this isn't Sonic!"

Son- *clears throat* sorry, Dark Sonic started to concentrate on his energy. His body was glowing brighter and brighter. Once he was finished and he looked at Scourge one last time and charged straight at him. Once he made contact with Scourge, an explosion was made and a mushroom cloud started to form. It was now over.
