Loki
I pace in front of Odin's throne room. What could he possibly wants with Leidi? An explosion is heard and the palace shakes. Oh no, Leidi.
I burst into the throne room, just in time to tackle Leidi away from falling debris. The All-Father is protected by guards. I wrap an arm around Leidi and guide her out, dodging some falling debris along the way.
Odin is already out of the room, with his guard. Another explosion sounds and the throne bursts into pieces. I look at the throne I once wished to conquer, but have long since forgotten.
Leidi looks up abruptly, then shoves me forward, "Loki go!" She yells as a large piece of the roof tumbles downward and onto her. "LEIDI!!" I yell.
I knew it. I confessed my feelings for her, and now, she gets hurt. "No!" I yell, running toward the debris. I attempt to pull it up, but she steps out of the rock as if nothing happened.
"Loki, I'm fine!" She says, putting her hand on my shoulder. "How?" I say, "you scared the immortal soul out of me!" "How do you think I got into your cell all the time?" "Oh."
She pulls me against her and wraps her arms against my torso as another boulder tumbles down, barely missing me. "We should get out of here," she says. I nod and we run for the exit, our hands linked.
We burst through the door just before rocks tumble down and seal the exit. We stand and stare at the door, both of us thinking of how close we were to death. To being separated forever.
I pull her into my arms roughly. She wraps hers around me and we stay like that for a while. I kiss her hair and she buries her face into my chest. I rest my chin on her head. I want to stay this way forever.
Unfortunately we can't because we're under attack. Another explosion shakes the palace. We run from more falling debris as a ship crashes in front of us. From it, an army of elves emerges.
Leidi's eyes widen as she looks at one of the elves. "Leidi," he grins evilly. "Malekith," she whispers, fear in her voice.
Leidi
Malekith grins at me, "Leidi." "Malekith," my voice is barely audible. I hate him just as much as I fear him. I back up slightly and grab Loki's hand.
"I missed you dear," Malekith says approaching me. Loki pushes me back slightly, and throws a protective arm in front of me. "Don't come near her," he hisses.
"Still around evils are we?" He raises his eyebrows. "He's not evil," I spit. "Sure. He only attempted to kill all of the frost giants and attacked Midgard. I commend you, God of Mischief," he says to Loki.
Malekith steps forward and we step back. "You no longer have the Aether do you?" He says. "I buried it," I say through gritted teeth. "Ah yes, and Thor's lover has done us the favor of digging it up," he smiles.
"Jane," I breathe before turning in the direction of the queen's chamber. Loki runs after me. We dodge fires from the army. Loki and I knock down a few.
We stop in front of the door and Loki pushes it open and we see Jane running away from a dark elf. Another holds the queen in a chokehold grip.
The one who chases Jane is none other than Algrim but now he is the Kurse. I've only seen one other like him. And he's dead. "Algrim!" I call, "She is not the one you seek! I am!" Algrim turns to me, "Leidi." He growls and lunges at me. Loki pushes Algrim away from me.
"Mother!" Loki cries, approaching the queen. The elf holds a sword to her neck and Loki backs away. "Wait!" I say, "Spare her! She has nothing to do with this." Both elves stare at me. "I'll go with you. I still have the Aether," I negotiate, "Just let her go. Take me instead." "What are you doing Leidi!" Loki yells at me.
The elf holding the queen shoves her forward roughly and Loki catches her. "Mother!"
Both elves approach me and when they do, I focus my energy and their arms go right through me. I run towards Loki, "I need a weapon! Get the queen to safety!" "I'm not letting you risk your life!" Loki says. "They cannot touch me! Just give me a weapon and get out!" I yell.
He looks at me, but produces a sword out of thin air. The sword has a green and gold hilt and the blade is almost blue. It's also quite light. Loki takes the queen and runs.
I face the elves and block their attack with my sword. I hold two fingers in front of me, before disarming them both with one blow.
Malekith enters the room, "You fools! She doesn't have the Aether! She has tricked you both!" He approaches me and I make myself untouchable once more, but he grabs my wrist and twists it behind my back. The sword clatters to the ground and disappears.
"I taught you that trick. Do you really think it would work on me?" He pulls my wrist up and grips my other arm. He twists it further and I cry out in pain.
"Ah, stop, please, ah!" I say. He grins and pulls my arm up further. Thor bursts into the room at the last possible moment. "LEIDI!!!" I'm in too much pain to respond. "Thor," I croak before I crumple to the ground, unconscious.
The last thing I see is Thor hitting Malekith with a bolt of lightning, scarring half of his face.
