Luke's POV

Her eyelids closed but I kept watching her closely just to make sure she was breathing. After an hour of watching her light snorting I climbed off bed and fished my phone out of my pocket. I meant when I said I'd take care of things, that Karev will pay a high price for hurting my princess.

"Michael?" I say when my mate picks up the phone

"Mate, Ashton just told us" he sighs "How she's doing?"

"She's devastated" I glance to the crack of the door to see her lying peacefully in bed sleeping "Mike I need you to hop on the jet and come here, we have to take care of something in Cali"

"Mate..." he's tone is confused

"This mess is Karev's fault" I clench my jaw "We're fixing this just like old times"

"Luke we promised we wouldn't do that anymore" his voice is appealing "We almost got caught last time"

"I know mate but this time we have to" I lean against the wall "Karev is hurting her, he's manipulating her" I have to make him understand that we don't have another option "He's making our Little One sad"

Mike sighs on the other end of the line, like he's considering my proposal.

"Fine, I'm on my way to the jet" he says quickly "But this is the last time mate, after this one I'm really done with all that shit. We have too much to lose, we're not just fucked up kids who take drugs, we have a fucking label deal" he's right, this will be the last time.

"Yeah yeah, I agree" I nod "Thanks mate"

"Not doing it for you, I'm doing it for her" he hangs up.

I sigh and sit on the couch with both of my hands holding my head, I turn my head to watch her through the crack of the door again.

"I'll take care of you, my love" I say under my breath and stand up to touch her face "No one will make you cry again, not under my watch" I run my hand over her neck and nape, she breathes heavily I plant a kiss on her forehead as I hear the frond door being opened

"Everything is ready, bro" Jasper closes the door and hands me a key "I got your back, don't worry I'll keep an eye on her while you're there fixing things"

"Thanks mate" I smile and we shake hands "Don't let her leave the apartment, she's sneaky so you better be careful, the only people that can come here are her parents and thats it" he nods while I talk "I'll be back as soon as I can"

I glance to her door again, making sure she's safe. I sigh again and walk out of the door.

No matter what I do starting now, it's all for her. I can't be scared or hesitating because I have to protect her, no matter the consequences or damages she's all that matters. 

Michael's POV

I hoped on the plane feeling uneasy about Luke's plan. We got so close of going to jail last time, back then it didn't matter because we only had school to worry about, but now we are known, we have the label deal and a whole future ahead of us. Luke feels the urge to protect everyone, like he has to put everyone else on top of his own priorities. I agreed this time because Alaska is involved, otherwise I'd tell him to forget about it.
