"You?!"

Swara stood bewildered in her place, unable to process what just happened. The guy who had once broke her trust was standing in front of her again -- someone she thought was her best friend, her better half and a reliable partner who would never leave her side. It had taken a lot for her to come out of the wound he caused to her and her family back then. And now, of all things, he had been the one to save her from falling.

The moment realisation dawned upon Swara, she immediately retracted both her hands from him that he was still holding. He, too, had not quite expected to be encountering her like this but now that he did, his face broke into a smile as one of his wishes was finally fulfilled.

"Swara!" Sanskar immediately came to Swara after having witnessed everything from behind. He didn't understand why she looked so stunned and why this man was so fondly staring at her... but one thing he was sure about was that it did not seem good.

"Swara... Tum thikh toh ho?" Sanskar tapped on her back, silently assuring her that he was here.

"Swara? Oh my god! Long time no see. Don't you recognise me?" the man asked in enthusiasm but Swara immediately stepped away from him.

"What are you doing here?" she demanded.

"Thank god, you do recognise me. You don't seem like you have changed. You are still the same as before..." he tried to step close to her but she warned him.

"Stay back!"

"I can't believe I met you," he expressed his happiness, "Even after all these years-"

"I said-"

"Excuse me!" Sanskar, seeing his behaviour and Swara's reluctance, intervened immediately in a stern voice, "I hope you are man enough to understand that when a female tells you to stay away from her, you should," he said in an intimidating voice.

"Wait a minute. What's it to you?" he cross-questioned Sanskar.

"Enough, Mr Sengupta!" Swara snapped, not caring who was watching them, "You are in no place to question him."

'Sengupta...'

That's what clicked Sanskar! He absolutely remembered the name of the man who betrayed Swara back then. The realization that followed shocked Sanskar to the core and his eyes stayed fixed at Sahil's face.

"Sahil Sengupta?! He... He is the one?! He is that guy?"

The tension in the air rose because each of them had their realizations hit them hard. Silence followed for some time but it didn't last longer as Dr Riya came up and interrupted the conversation.

"Dr Swara!"

"Yes?" Swara looked at Riya upon being called after recovering from her initial shock.

"It's good I found you here. I need a little bit of your help in this thing. Do you have a minute?"

"Yeah, sure," she nodded and turned towards Sanskar, holding his hand in assurance. Sahil frowned on seeing this proximity between Swara and Sanskar.

"Sanskar, I'll just come in a minute," Swara said and then her eyes fell on Sahil, "Just avoid indulging with him until then. He does not deserve it," she said coldly and Sanskar nodded solemnly.

"It will be fine, Swara," he assured her softly, "You go."

As soon as Swara left with Riya, Sanskar briefly closed his eyes and thought about what the hell just happened.

"It seems like you know her well."

The voice that almost sounded bitter made Sanskar open his eyes as he understood Sahil had probably observed his tender behaviour with Swara. So, he thought to give a straight answer.
