Kalani's POV:

My time with Marco was proving to be way more exciting then I thought it'd be. He was genuinely really funny, sweet and thoughtful. I'm glad I decided to give him a chance and get to know him.

We were currently trading horror stories about our past. Ranging from embarrassing moments that have haunted us our entire lives to our first kiss. His first kiss was slightly worse than mine. His was on accident and it was also one of his top five embarrassing moments.

"So you're saying that you lost your virginity in the back of a pick up truck?"

"Don't judge me, Lani!" Marco cried dramatically, holding his hand over his heart.

"I'm not. But why the back of a pickup truck? At a drive in theater?" I asked, my face turning up slightly.

"Look, she was cute and I wanted to lose it. Besides, she was a cheerleader and after I did it people started noticing me." Interesting.

"We should watch 16 candles." He looked at me like I was crazy before he laughed.

"How do we go from talking about how we lost our virginity's to talking about 16 candles?" I shrugged and leaned forward to grab the remote from the table. I turned the TV on but it only came on. The screen was black but none of the stuff came up.

"It's a good movie! And I love the story." I said as I tried to figure out what was wrong with the TV.

"Oh please. That movie sucks." I turned to him and tilted my head.

"Have you seen it before?" He shook his head.

"Then how can you hate it? That makes no sense!" I said, rolling my eyes.

"Cause I hate romance movies. All romance movies are stupid." I ignored him and turned back to the TV. It genuinely wasn't working at all. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Austin was watching TV just fine earlier.

"Oh my god! I don't know why this thing isn't working!" I grumbled.

"Even the TV knows that movie sucks." Marco mumbled before leaning back against the couch.

"You're a hater."

"Am not!" He said smiling.

"I'll call Austin. He should know how to fix this thing. He's always somewhere watching it." I said, grabbing my phone. I tried to call him but my phone wouldn't even let me. It just kept turning off. I sighed and turned towards Marco.

"Can you call Tristan? Maybe he can get to Austin. My phones messed up." He nodded and slid his phone out his pocket. He attempted to call Tristan but his phone did the same as mine did.

"It was working just fine a few minutes ago." He mumbled.

"I don't know what's going on. I could go check the breaker-"

"No, it's fine. I'm sure it's just-" The power shut off leaving us in the dark. I grabbed onto his arm, out of instinct and moved a little closer.

"It's just a power outage. We're fine." He said softly.

"Sorry. I get freaked out by stuff like this." I said, dropping his arm.

"You're okay." He whispered before he stood up and went over to the window. He looked out before turning to me.

"Looks like we're the only ones without power. Has this happened before?" I shook my head and tried to call Austin again. My phone did the same thing it had before. I tried to call all of them and my phone just kept turning off.
