Meet the Family
As I stared at the trees and buildings around me passing by in a blur, I knew I couldn’t blame Afreen for whatever he said… it must be my fault in some or the other way I didn’t have a clue about what I was going to do about it. My family would love Nish, but will his family be able to accept me…on a later stage?
“Baby…what’s wrong?” he asked. I startled as I was pulled out of my thoughts. I noticed that we weren’t moving, the car was safely parked. I hadn’t even realized!
“Tell me.” he said again. I looked at him; he looked back, his face reflecting pure concern
“Baby please” he said as he slowly lifted his hand up and brushed his fingertips against my cheek, it was only then when I noticed that I was crying
“What happened?” he asked
“A-Afreen was right…” I whispered and his eyes widened, as he realized that I had overheard their conversation
“Baby don’t…” he started but I cut him off
“You’re family hates me Nish! I don’t know why, I don’t even know what I should do about it? Am I so bad Nish?” I said, my voice breaking several times
“Baby…” he said cupping my face in his hands
“You’re not bad…you’re not bad at all! Didn’t I tell you love; my parents are behind my money and they know that they won’t get it as long as you’re with me tats it! I swear my love, don’t get upset because of them” he said hugging me to his chest
