                                                        Chapter 9

                                            Junk Food and Slow Dancing      

                        

                                It was our one year anniversary today, and actually speaking it wasn’t as scary as I thought it’d be. Even though I noticed that Nish was a bit absent minded, he was on the edge the whole day for some odd reason, and this made me a bit worried about him.

                          Nothing special happened today, just the same old routine. Since I had come back from the hospital, obviously regularly getting out was a big no-no. I wanted to but Nish just wouldn’t let me. He said that it would be too much of an exertion and I needed to rest…after a lot of discussion I was allowed to step out of the house, every alternate day to walk. So I was surprised when he asked me if I wanted to go out with him to get some pizzas for everybody. I, no doubt, agreed.

“What are you staring at?” he asked me as he smiled at me

“It’s been so long since I came this far…feels good to see the world again” I said not taking my eyes off the lights and people as the passes us quickly. We were sitting in Nish’s car heading towards dominoes. His right hand on the steering wheel as his other hand softly held mine.

“Sitting at home is just so boring”

“It was for your own good babe” he said as his rubbed his thumb over my hand.

“We’re here!” I said suddenly over excited about each and everything around me. He chuckled. We walked in and the sweet smell of absolute unhealthy cheese made my mouth water.
