                                                        Chapter 4

                                                 My Lifeless Lover

 NISH POV

It was past three in the morning. We all were at the hospital. Waiting for the doctor to come out of the ICU and give us some news. Tell me if the love of my life was alive or gone.

Everyone was here. Rats, Afreen, Clar, Aadi, and her parents. But no one spoke a word. Rats was crying uncontrollably since she had come. Clar was trying to somehow calm everyone down and I was numb. I had lost the capacity to hear or feel anything.

Even if she lives through this there are chances that she loses a limb or something, all because of me. Today she was dangling between life and death all because of me. What if she dies now? What if something worse happens to her? How am I supposed to live with that? I had told everybody what had happened and they said that it was all an accident and I wasn’t the cause of it. But I didn’t agree with them. My girl was in the ICU for the past three hours because of me. Why did I have to lose my temper? What was her mistake after all? She wanted to know about my parents. Was it that big of a deal? Did she deserve to die for that?

My heart was heavy, my eyes were red trying to stop my tears from peeking from my eyes, and my clothes were covered with her blood. I was mentally thanking that lady who had called the ambulance, I had come with her and called up her friends and family. They all came here as soon as possible and stayed here.

“Nishit” Afreen called me and I looked up

“I think you should clean up now”

“Not now” I answered

“dude, I insist” he said

 “Okay” I said but I didn’t move a muscle
