Sorry fir the late upload...i had a major writers block...but now i'm slowly getting on track.
i'm dedicating this chapter to fanofmyra and shreiya who both totally suffocated me by asking when i was going to upload the next chapter and also forced me to do the same ASAP. oh i absolutely love them!!

Chapter 23
Welcome to Royalty
My heart hammered against my ribs in anxiety. I looked outside trying to distract myself. It really was a beautiful place, looking at all the forts and monuments around me, I felt like I had stepped into a different world all together, I was so used to the city-life that all this was so new to me, so traditional, looking at the people walking around, I felt like these were somehow my roots, which was weird since I was not from this part of the country. Just as I thought about it, another monument passed by making me wonder how old it was.
"Your forefathers really did have some artistic sense" I commented
"Ah...I love the forts too" Nish said rubbing circles on my hand. After a half an hour flight we had finally reached Jodhpur. We were now proceeding towards the royal mansion in a chauffeur driven car.
"How much longer?" I asked him
"Five minutes max" he told me, and my nervousness returned. Apparently, the palace where the royal family lived was on the peak of the Chittar Hill, the highest point of Jodhpur.
"Baby...they'll love you, I promise." Nish said, I nodded not really sure
"Love, trust me. Just be yourself and it 'll be just fine." He said
"What if it isn't Nish? What if I mess up?" I asked him
"Sweetheart, if anything happens, anything at all, I'll have your back." Nish told me and that's when we entered the royal compound.
