I ran blindly through the woods, wishing I had my werewolf abilities. Mainly eyesight.

I swerved back and forth, trying to lose the two or three men following me, and not hit a tree in the process.

My parents purposely lived by woods. I guess my father needed to run every once and a while.

Branches scratched at my face, wind whipping my hair back.

I ducked behind a tree, staying perfectly still. The idiots ran right past me.

I waited a couple heart-pounding seconds, and let out a breath of relief when I didn't hear them coming back.

I turned to double back, when I heard the click. I turned slowly, and saw another man, holding a gun at my head.

Shit.

The man smiley smugly, waving the gun leisurely.

He almost looked drunk.

"Looks like you wolves aren't so smart after all." He sneered.

"You don't look so smart yourself." I shot back.

"Don't talk to me like that you bitc-"

While he was distracted by his ranting I made a run for it.

I lunged to the side, and darted begin him, runnin faster that ever.

I heard the man curse, then a rapid 'click' 'click'. I heard something whizz by and darted left to duck behind a tree.

Big mistake.

I felt the impact, but there wasn't as much pain as I expected. I dove under the cover of come thick brambles, pulling myself along the ground with one arm until I was hidden.

Then I noticed it. The bright feathery tail sticking in my upper right shoulder.

I firmly grasped the dart, and pulled it quickly from my shoulder. Crap, a tranquilizer.

I threw the dart aside, but I didn't feel very woozy. Maybe it was a passing blow. Maybe it didn't go deep enough.

'Yeah, and maybe you will turn into a wolf right here.' I joked. I hoped not, my father said the first change was extremely painful.

I started to get choked up when I thought about my father, so I focused on keeping quiet.

The man trampled past, cursing all the way.

These people were not very smart.

When I was sure it was safe, (About five minutes later) I crawled out of my hiding hole. I stood up, only to have my legs collapse from under me.

I guess the dart went in deeper than I thought.

I pulled my self over to a tree, and propped myself up against it. I knew I was a sitting duck here, but I didn't have the energy to do much else.

My head slumped against my chest, and I struggled to keep my eyes open.

I heard more crunching of the undergrowth, and my first hazy thought was, 'Thats it I'm done for.'

But suddenly there was a woman kneeling at my side, looking at my arms and legs. Was she checking for wounds?

What was she doing? Surely they were going to kill me, why check for wounds? What was the point?

I heard her murmur, "David!" quietly, and wondered if she was calling for someone who had a gun.

But suddenly a man appeared from another direction, and knelt down beside her.

"What's happened?" He asked quietly.

"I'm not sure she-"

Could these people possibly be here to help? I didn't see any guns, but of course that didn't mean anything. They could be hidden.

"Tranq-dart..." I managed to get out, that dart had really gone in deep.

The women swore silently, and pointed at me.

"David, carry her back to the van, we don't have any reversal with us."

I wondered briefly what 'reversal' was, but my thoughts were to muddled and confused to speculate.

When the man, apparently named David, picked me up, I started squirming and trying to get away. Though it probably wasn't hard to keep ahold of me, I was half asleep by now.

These people didn't seem bad, but I didn't know them, and I couldn't be too careful.

David hugged me tighter, whispering "It's ok, we're here to help."

I hoped he was telling the truth, and that I could believe him.

I think the drug pulled me under for a few minutes because next thing I knew, Davis was telling the woman to open a door.

Through bleary eyes I noticed their van was black.
