Chapter 4

I groggily woke in the morning. We were still in the car, and the rocking van was making me nauseous.

I tried to sit up, but my head was pounding and my mouth felt like a giant cotton ball. Ug.

I groaned and pulled myself up, using the seat for help.

I heard Clay in the backseat laughing.

"I take it your not a morning person?"

I glared at him and said, "Actually, I'm not a good wake-up-after-being-drugged person."

Davis heard my statement, and asked if I wanted breakfast.

Right now I think food was going to make me sick. I grimace, and shook my head.

Clay handed me a bottle of water, and I briefly wondered if it was dosed, but quickly rejected that idea. It was kind of ridiculous.

I took a long gulp of the refreshing water. It wasn't the coldest, but it was heaven to me.

"What I really want is an explanation."

David and the woman glanced at each other for a long moment.

I glanced out I the windshield and noticed we were on a four-lane highway.

We must be going far if we had to get on an interstate. Where were these people taking me? I wanted an explanation.

I mentally cringed thinking about all the road raged drivers on the road.

David sighed, snapping me from my thoughts. I think this was going to be a long explanation.

"As you know I'm David, and this," he said pointing to the woman, one hand on the wheel, "Is Sarah."

Ok so now I knew the woman's name.

I took a deep breath. At least I could do that now. The drugs affects we're gone. Other than the nauseous feeling.

"So...what the hell is going on?" I asked.

Clay motioned me aside, so I scooted to the edge of the middle seat. When I was out of the way, he preceded to climb over the seat until he was sitting next to me.

My heart picked up at his being so near.

I mentally slapped myself. 'Get a grip.

Your not a hormone riddled teenager.'

That was when I noticed Clay looked like my age. Well a little older. Probably 18, maybe 19.

Clay looked at David, or well the back of his head.

"Can I tell her! Please!?" he begged like a little kid.

What was the deal with this guy?

Sarah shrugged.

"Fine with me." she said, giving Clay the go-ahead.

Clay grinned.

"So those guys were from the SCA. Or the Supernatural Containment Agency. They're the bad guys. They capture supernaturals, A.K.A. werewolves..." He gave me a pointed look.
