CHAPTER ELEVEN
I woke up the next morning and realized right away it was the last day of school. FINALLY. I couldn't wait to leave the dreadful seventh grade. I text Jen as I was getting ready as I usually do. We like to send each other pictures of our outfits so we can have a second opinion. I decided to wear a purple tube top with a cardigan and white shorts. Jen basically wore the same thing but with a green tube top. We always liked to match on the last day of school. It has been our "thing" since we first met in kindergarten. Oh how I loved that girl.
My phone vibrated and I saw I had a text from Cody. I immediatly smiled like an idiot when I saw his name come across my phone.
*PHONE CONVERSATION*
Cody; Hey beautiful! Heard today is your last day of school. Then we can hang out all day everyday (;
Me; Yes! I'm so glad it's gonna be over! Looking forward to it. <3
The school day was pretty relaxed. We only went until 9:45. All we did was chill and sign yearbooks and all that fun end of the year celebrating stuff. Jen and I were together the whole time talking about Jake and Cody.
"So Jen, how is Jake anyway? I haven't heard you talk about him." I say.
"Oh he's good! He still hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend yet though. I think it's because he's so shy. I wish he would just realize I really like him and just ask." Jen says with a tad bit of disappointment in her voice.
"Hmmm....if only you had a great best friend who could talk to this boy for you...." I begin to say.
"YES. DO IT! PLEASE! I'LL PAY YOU!"
"Alright I'll text him tonight!" I laugh.
"Thank you bestie!" Jen says and bear hugs me. I just laugh and start packing up my things to go home for the summer break.
When I got home I discovered that my dad was still at work. I made my way up to my room. When I opened the door I heard the toilet in my bedroom flush. My heart skipped a few beats. Was someone in my house?! I frantically searched for the nearest weapon I could use to ward off the intruder. I couldn't find anything and I saw the door handle starting to turn open. I just completely froze like a deer in headlights.
Then I saw that familiar face. It was just Cody.
"Oh, hey there beautiful!" He said in his heavenly accent.
"CODY YOU SCARED ME HALF TO DEATH! WARN A GIRL."
"Woah, woah, woah, I'm sorry babe I didn't think you were going to be home yet I was waiting for you but I had to go..." He laughs at my expression.
"Anyway.." I begin but Cody cuts me off me off my gently kissing me.
I pull away and smile. "What was that for?"
"Sorry. You're just so amazing."
"I love you Cody."
"I love you too, Ryan" He says with a smile.
"So what do you want to do?" I ask him having no ideas in my head.
"Want to just hang out?" He suggests.
"Sure. Lets go downstairs and watch a movie! I just got The Hangover on dvd!"
"LET'S WATCH IT!"
We watched the whole movie and laughed hysterically at the funny parts, which was basically the whole movie. Cody had his arm around me and held my hand with his free one. I also laid my head on his shoulder. I felt so comfortable with him.
"Can I ask you something Cody?"
"Sure, anything."
"What's going to happen when you have to leave Pennsylvania?"
"I'll take you with me." He said as if it should have been obvious.
"Oh!" I say with a smile.
"Oh!" Cody says and kisses my forehead.
After that we just watched the rest of the movie. At 1:00 we decided to eat lunch. It was a really nice day so we ate on my patio.
"Alli wanted me to ask you if you wanted to ride with her and my mom to the On My Mind music video audition. I'm going to have to be there like 3 hours ahead of time."
"Sure that'd be great! I don't think I'm going to get the part though. Theres girls that are going to audition that are a lot p-" I started but then he cut me off.
"There isn't any girl in this whole entire universe prettier than you."
"Aw, thanks Cody."
We just hung out at my house until 7:00 when my dad came home. As soon as Cody left he text me, and we kept texting until I fell asleep.
