CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE
I sang the first verse of the song feeling nervous. The audience was still screaming and chanting my name, so by the chorus I loosened up. Cody was right, being on stage really was the best feeling in the world!
I finished the song smiling and feeling confident. As the introduction for Hidden began playing, I made my way over to a stool set up in the middle of the stage. It was a slower song so for "dramatic effect" Tracy had me sit on the stool and sing.
By 6:15 all of my songs were finished. i brought a couple of fans to come on stage and dance with me for a few of my songs. It was actually really fun!
Now all that was left was the song Cody and I wrote together. I got to announce Cody's name and the song title.
"Now for our final song tonight.." I was cut off by a bunch of "AWWW'S!" I laughed and continued. "Please welcome Cody Simpson back on stage so we can sing our duet "Through All Times"!
They crowd cheered as Cody came onstage. He hugged me and I kissed his cheek, making the audience "AW!" once again.
Cody grabbed his own microphone and started the song. I came in during the chorus and then sang the second verse. The crowd loved it and was singing along to every word.
At the end of the song Cody and I said together "THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT LOS ANGELES!" We laughed and I started to head off the stage, but ended up being picked up bridal style by Cody and left the stage in that matter.
He gently dropped me on the couch that was backstage and there was lots of people there to hug and congratulate us. I felt someone tap my shoulder and I turned around.
"ANTHONY!" I screamed and hugged him. It's been a while since I've seen him and I was really excited.
"Great job today Ryan! I'm so proud of ya!" He laughed and gave another hug.
"Hold on, I want you to meet someone!" I said and called Cody over.
"Anthony, this is my boyfriend Cody, Cody, this is my big brother Anthony!"
Cody shook Anthony's hand and Anthony led Cody off to the side to have a "talk" with him. Probably the typical "break her heart I'll break your face stuff". I just hope he won't be too harsh.
I walked back over to the group and was attacked with hugs by Monica, Katelyn, Jen, and Alli. Then there was Casey and Drew, and then Jesse. I couldn't find Tracy so I decided that I would thank her and such when I saw her.
After about 5 minutes, Cody came back from his "chat" and sat down on the couch next to me.
"Did he go easy on you?" I asked Cody nervously.
"Haha, yeah. Just the usual don't hurt her and stuff. But I would never hurt you, so we don't have to worry about that."
"Good." I smiled and he puts his arm around me. By 7:00 everything was cleaned up and we were ready to go. Cody and his family went to Friendly's, while my family went back to our house for some hot dogs and burgers. Family tradition to celebrate with a cookout.
"Did any of you guys see Tracy after the concert?" I asked curious as to where she went.
"Yeah, she went out to dinner with the guy that was announcing! She told me to say goodbye to everyone but I kinda forgot. She also says she's proud of you!" Katelyn says to the group.
"Ooooh Tracy's on a date!" I laugh.
"Soooo? You and Cody were adorable!" Jen says, making me choke on my water. I laugh once I am recovered from almost coughing to death.
