CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN
I woke up in the same position as before when Anthony and everyone got home. I'm sort of a light sleeper so when they opened the door it woke me up. It was now around 8:30.
I sat up and rubbed my eyes.
"Morning sleepy head!" Cody said to me sarcastically.
"Ello! Haha, it's not my fault I fell asleep, when someone plays with my hair it's like an instant tranquilizer!"
"Good! Now I know what to do when you start to talk too much." I faked glared at him and lightly punched his arm.
He laughed and I stood up to go say hi to Anthony.
"SUP BRO?!" I say to him obnoxiously.
"You're such a tool..." He said and laughed.
"I try! Who were you hanging out with?" I asked him curiously. I didn't know he had friends in California.
"A friend I met on the plane here."
"You have friends?!"
"Funny. He's actually coming over in like 15 minutes you can meet him."
"You're letting me meet your friend? Are you feeling okay?" I ask putting my hand on his forehead.
"Hahaha, yeah I'm fine! Just in a good mood I guess." He said looking down smiling.
Then it suddenly clicked.
"Who's the girl?" I ask raising my eyebrow. His face turned bright red.
"Mhm, that's what I thought, now tell me!" I said excitedly.
"Fine, fine, fine. Her name is Jessica Lysca. Chris, my friend that's coming over, it's his cousin. He's going to bring her over." He smiled.
"OOOH ANTHONY THAT'S SO CUTE!" I yelled excitedly.
"Shh! I don't want the world to know!" He hushed me.
I smiled and went back over to Cody. I noticed Jen was on the couch also.
"Oh hey, when did you get back?" I asked her.
"Just a couple minutes ago!"
"Oh! How did it go?! Tell me everything!"
"Well, basically all I had to do was put on Abercrombie clothes and look pretty!" She laughed.
"Was it fun though?"
"Very! I can't wait to do it again!"
"That's good! I'm so happy for you!" I say and hug her.
Then my phone rang and Tracy's picture came up on the Caller ID.
"Hello!" I answer cheerfully.
"Hey Ry! I'm going to text you Jacob's number so that you can call him to say he got the part!"
"Alright! I'll be waiting!"
"Haha, okay bye!"
"Bye!"
I hung up and sighed.
"What's the matter?" Cody asked.
"That was Tracy. I have to call Jacob and tell him he got the part."
I was leaning against him and I could feel him tense up, but neither of us said anything. 15 seconds later Tracy text me his number and I dialed it.
It rang twice before he picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hey is this Jacob Smith?" I ask calmly.
"Yeah that's me!"
