Hey guys! This is an ABC poem, and yes, I know I skipped X and Z. Hope you like it!

A red rose and a white lily, trying to hide

But failing in a field of yellow daises

Clinging to each other in the

Desperate hope that no one will see their differences

Each had only the other, taking turns

Falling so the other could catch them in the

Green field where they lay

Hoping for spring, the two hide

In the shelter of a fallen tree, while frost was

Just beginning to graze the blades of grass

Keeping warmth trapped inside

Like a diamond blanket, while the skies turns gray

Morphing into the heavy wool of grandmother's coat

Never releasing it's grim impression

Overwhelmed, the two flowers took cover

Praying that the snowflakes might one day stop and

Quiet would release it's hold, that the birds,

Relishing in sunlight and singing, might fly again

Still, they waited, like the sun waits

To touch upon the dewdrops

Underlining the spiderwebs

Very slowly, the two friends grew old, until only

Whispers in the dark remained, echoes of a

Young time, when the world was green
