Life for Sale

16 2 1

There's a life for sale

Slightly used, tarnished but not quite bruised

With all the potential to be

So much more

It comes cheap as Saturday afternoon

Lemonade and popsicles

50 cents

Your pockets will be littered

Movie tickets and mint wrappers

That pass for modern art

On a plate

Really, it's a good deal--

Free with exceptions

A big house, loving family

All you have to do is trade

We'll both get clean slates

My only request--

Don't tell anyone

That this beautiful, used life

Is mine
