Last Chapter in The Foundation:

On what began as an ordinary day, Meda awoke expecting catastrophe, only to find a breakfast tray and a note from her team declaring a full day of rest. Despite her protests, her loved ones had carefully orchestrated a sequence of moments designed to ground and nourish her, beginning with a calming arboretum meditation led by Iris and a resonance-tuned bath prepared by Mel. Hoya, with her usual no-nonsense warmth, escorted her to a spa-like dressing room, where Meda chose clothes that finally felt like herself again. Lunch in the greenhouse with Cain and the others became a ritual of presence and quiet affection, filled with food, poems, and laughter. The afternoon brought a visit to a secret hydrotherapy suite and a deep massage that allowed her long-ignored body to begin healing. But the true heart of the day came in the star-glass dome, where Meda was met by 343—God himself—who listened without judgment as she confessed her past sacrifices and unhealed grief. In his silence, she found reflection; in his words, permission—not to forget, but to begin forgiving herself. As the day closed with a quiet walk through the forest and Nahash's grounding presence, Meda was no longer bracing for war; she was finally held—and glowing.

I was dreaming of water again

I was dreaming of water again.

Not the kind that drowns. Not the kind that screams or pulls you under. No. This water was still. Cradling. A lake wrapped in firelight and silence, the kind of silence that doesn't press but holds. I could feel Nahash's warmth behind me, her breath slowing against my shoulder. The world had quieted. My muscles remembered how to rest. And then her voice broke through the dream, low and soft like thunder whispering just beyond the tree line. "Meda," she murmured, brushing her knuckles against my cheek. "Time to wake up," I grunted, something between a protest and a curse, squinting one eye open. It was still early—the kind of early where the sky is just beginning to bruise with dawn, streaked with violet and the last reluctant stars. Dew clung to the tent fabric above me, and my joints still buzzed from the heat of yesterday's bath and the gravity of everything I'd finally let go.

"Did something happen?" I rasped, sitting up slightly. My body felt loose, like it hadn't clenched in a lifetime. "Containment breach? Diplomatic meltdown? Surprise apocalypse?" She smiled. That gentle, terrible smile meant I was about to be hijacked emotionally. "No," she said, already pulling on her coat. "We're going home. To pack." I blinked. "Pack for what?"

"Our round-the-world tour," she said, as if it were the most natural thing in the multiverse. "First stop: Hy-Brasil." It took me several long seconds to process that. "You want me to... leave? Now? We just got here." Nahash tilted her head. "We've been here a full day."
