In a high-stakes training duel, Rainer faces off against Melusine in a tense battle of elements and strategy. Initially, Rainer struggles to gain the upper hand as Melusine dominates the battlefield with her mastery over fog and water, turning the arena into her personal domain. Every drop of mist bends to her will, overwhelming Rainer despite his heated shield and glowing blade. Mel taunts him, amplifying his frustration, but Rainer refuses to back down. In a bold counter-move, he uses heat-based technology—space heaters and a flare—to evaporate Mel's fog and disrupt her control. As the battlefield shifts in his favor, Rainer gains confidence and corners Mel, unleashing relentless bursts of fire. However, Mel responds by tapping him into her deeper, more dangerous power, manipulating the water inside Rainer himself. Immobilized, Rainer is struck by a powerful water blast, sending him crashing to the ground. As silence falls, Mel stands victorious, acknowledging Rainer's clever strategy but reminding him, with quiet finality, that it wasn't quite enough.

The meeting was dragging on, and I was beginning to lose patience. Broken Masquerade Protocols were always a headache—every possible scenario more disastrous than the last. Lifting the Veil was not something we discussed lightly, and yet, here we were, sifting through the wreckage of Meda's little stunt. "Alpha-9 is now public knowledge," O5-5 said, leaning back in his chair, his fingers tapping a restless rhythm against the table. His blackbird insignia gleamed faintly on his lapel. "The question is—how do we contain the fallout before it spirals out of control?"
"We don't," O5-2, The Gardener, interjected. Her tone was matter-of-fact, but there was a gleam of irritation in her eyes. "We channel it. Turn it into a narrative we control."
"Easier said than done," muttered O5-12, The Accountant, scanning a digital report with quick, precise movements. "We're already seeing spikes in online chatter. Conspiracy forums are lit up like Christmas trees."
I opened my mouth to offer my own take when a soft chime interrupted the discussion. Jocasta's voice, calm and mechanical, filled the air. "Pardon the interruption, Council," she said. "Administrator Meda has requested a live stream transmission. Subject: Melusine. Evaluation in progress." As Jocasta mentioned Melusine, the holotable before us flickered to life, projecting holographic displays of both Melusine's and Rainer Miller's profiles. Their dossiers floated in midair, rotating slowly—Melusine's sleek, aquatic-themed file marked with SCP-054 and Rainer's, more chaotic and annotated with warnings, labeled SCP-4051. Each profile highlighted their key abilities, containment histories, and threat levels, with glowing subtext listing recent mission data.
"An evaluation," O5-7, Green, muttered, leaning forward as she scanned Melusine's dossier. "She's been due for one, but why pit her against Miller?"
