The storm-swept Quinjet carried Alpha-9 into Antarctica, its passengers silent and sharpened like blades before war. Below them, hidden under kilometers of ice, the Chaos Insurgency's fortress pulsed like a buried heart, a cage meant to hold a god. The Foundation's forces descended in unison — Nu-7's iron titans, UNGOC's banners, and Serpent's Hand zealots — an army assembled like different rivers converging into one unstoppable flood. With Melusine cloaking them in storm and orbital fire, tearing open the ice, the coalition breached the enemy's walls of Jericho. The Insurgency unleashed machines and soldiers, but Alpha-9's vanguard — Bacab, Grax, Mel, and Kali — stood like living elements of earth, beast, water, and fire, holding the line as Beta-3's thunder rained from above. Momentum built like a drumbeat until Nu-7's armor and allied troops crashed forward, sweeping the field with relentless fury. Meda, Nahash, and Dean cut through enemy ranks like wolves loosed among sheep, their power breaking the Insurgency's resolve. At last, white flags rose in the blizzard, and the surface battle was won — yet beneath the shattered ice still waited Huracán, chained and thrumming like a storm trapped in a cage.

I looked at each of them one last time. Bacab's jade eyes burned steadily, Nahash's claws flexed with hunger for the fight, Grax's breath rumbled deep in his chest, and Rhogar's flames pulsed in controlled waves.
They were ready — gods and monsters, companions bound not by oath alone, but by the war we chose to wage. The air thrummed with the weight of Huracán's presence, muffled and choked beneath layers of ice, steel, and blasphemous wards. It was like standing on the lid of a cauldron that had boiled for centuries, the heat and pressure straining against every chain. I drew a long breath, filling my lungs with the bitter frost. Then I closed my eyes, steadying the storm that coiled inside me. My left fist rose before me, glowing faintly at first, then brighter as photons condensed, drawn to my hand like moths to flame. The energy hissed, flickering against the skin of my knuckles, bleeding into the runes etched into my gauntlet. I could feel the light vibrating against my bones, alive and hungry, begging to be unleashed.
"Stand back," I said quietly. My voice carried enough steel that they obeyed without question. I lowered to one knee, wings tightening close around my frame, their metallic feathers locking into place with the sound of sliding steel. A cocoon, warm and unyielding, shielded me from the storm that would follow. I pressed my glowing fist to the ice. The ground groaned under me, trembling as if in dread. And then, with all the strength I could muster, I drove my hand down. The world cracked open. A sound like thunder ripped through the cavern as the ice split, shattering outward in jagged rings. A rush of air burst forth, cold and wild, tearing through my feathers and howling across the walls. It was no ordinary wind — it carried weight, fury, the taste of ancient storms. It clawed at my face, sharp and merciless, the first breath of the god who slept below.
