The O5 Council finalized two major decisions: officially integrating Melusine into Mobile Task Force Alpha-9 and preparing the release of controlled SCP Foundation records under the Broken Masquerade Protocol. Eve personally insisted on informing Alpha-9 about Melusine's approval, reinforcing their trust in the Foundation's leadership. Discussions shifted to managing global perception, as the world already knew of Alpha-9 due to the Foundation Accords and the LSA-Wake-002 fiasco, but lacked access to classified records. Concerns were raised about potential instability among Groups of Interest, but Eve reassured them that Meda had already secured agreements with the GOC and Serpent's Hand, with the latter's leader showing personal interest in Andromeda. The Council debated how to frame Alpha-9's public image, agreeing that the right data release would make them appear as protectors rather than rogue anomalies. After hours of deliberation, Eve gave SCP-079—refurbished by Meda with Jocasta's help—the go-ahead to launch the official Foundation website and upload selected files. With the meeting concluded, Eve headed to Alpha-9's headquarters, knowing that the world—and their mission—was about to change forever.

The moment Rainer tapped out, coughing up water with a sheepish grin, I was already moving. "Good match," I called as I helped him up, glancing at Melusine. "Quick mastery of your element. You're learning fast."
Mel's breath was steady, but her eyes still flickered with the last traces of a fight's edge. She gave me a sharp nod, though I could tell she was processing the win. "Thanks," she said. Rainer groaned as I slung his arm over my shoulder. "God, you're both terrifying."
"You almost drowned," I pointed out as we started toward the med bay. "I'd say that's fair." He let out a wheezing laugh. "Almost." The walk was quiet, aside from the distant hum of the Hudson and the occasional grunt from Rainer. I glanced at Mel. "You're adapting well. Controlling that much water without losing focus takes precision, and you kept the fight on your terms. That's what I like to see." Mel didn't say anything for a moment. Then, finally, a small, pleased smile flickered across her face.
As soon as they reached the med bay, the conversation inside quieted as heads turned toward them. The room was already occupied—Iris leaned against the counter, arms crossed, while Claire sat nearby, stretching out her shoulder as she listened to Ji-Hu and Hoya, both finally awake after their recoveries. Clementine was seated on one of the cots, idly tapping a rhythmic pattern against her knee, while members of the Samsara Team stood in quiet clusters, their presence always a reminder of just how serious things could get. Already scanning through a medical report, Sarah barely looked up at first—until she caught sight of Rainer, dripping and grinning, and Melusine, still steady despite the fight she had just won. "Well, well," Iris said, smirking. "Guess you survived."
