Last chapter in The Foundation:

In the dead silence of the Radio Quiet Zone, two Alpha-9 operatives, Ji-hu and Hoya, infiltrated a Chaos Insurgency stronghold under cover of magic and stolen identities. Their mission turned dire when Ji-hu encountered a brutal clone of SCP-6925—Matthew McHayward—guarding the communications hub. After a brutal fight where Ji-hu's illusions failed against the clone's cognitohazard immunity, she was gravely wounded. Hoya arrived just in time, breaking into the booth and throwing a healing stone that reignited Ji-hu's strength. Fueled by old rage, Ji-hu unleashed her sealed power, obliterating McHayward with vicious, unstoppable foxfire. Together, the battered operatives destroyed the comms network, severing the Insurgency's call for reinforcements. Teleporting to the shield generator, they braced for the final strike as Alpha-9's assault raged outside. This time, they promised, the Chaos Insurgency's last defenses would burn.

They did it.

I felt it the moment the shield cracked—a ripple in the air like a dam collapsing under divine judgment. A flicker. A stutter. And then that wall of arrogant energy crumbled into shards of dead light, raining down on their concrete sanctum like the heavens had revoked permission. "Hoya. Ji-hu. Report." I sent the thought out like a thread of silk. I didn't need noise, not between us. Only truth. A pause. Then Hoya's voice, laced with exhaustion but sharp as ever. "Sorry for the delay. We had company."

"Shield's down," Ji-hu followed, her tone frayed but grounded. Bleeding, likely. But alive.
Then, quieter—ragged. "Ran into a McHayward clone. Nearly gutted me. Would've finished the job if Hoya hadn't thrown the healing stone." A beat. The rage behind her words was buried, but not gone. "I'm fine now," she added, which meant she wasn't, not really. Good. "Fall back to Gamma. You've done enough."

And now it's my turn.

I rose above the battlefield like the storm's eye, the sky parting before me. My wings unfurled, igniting the air with power as the ley lines beneath the mountain surged in response. Thousands below me—Foundation, Serpent's Hand, GOC, and the Hy-Brasil kin—waited. Watching. We are the Triskelion Compact, united not by faith or doctrine, but by necessity. "Artillery teams," I said, voice woven into the minds of every commander, every fireteam leader, every soul tuned to my will. "Open fire. Target the outer walls and internal courtyard—break their spine." Mortar shells sang. Thaumaturges lit the sky. Every syllable chanted by our mages burned like a promise. Flames swallowed the outer defenses, and from the east gate to the shattered western wall, Chaos Insurgency bunkers wept sparks and steel. Alexei's voice crackled through my comm next. "Outer turrets down. Moving through breach four. Casualties minimal."
