Chapter thirty three

"What do we do?" Maya leaned forward and put her face in her hands, hopelessly. Fred put his arm around her.
"Well, we're gonna have the party. It's just a matter of Tina and Jimmy being there happily." He assured her.
"Yeah, I don't know what's going on with Tina." Bill said.
"Me either, I haven't heard from her or Amy this morning." Kristen checked her phone again, still nothing.
"One of you girls has gotta go over there, not just about the party, for everyone's emotional stability." Bill said, taking charge. Kristen and Maya exchanged a glance.
"I think it should be Maya." Kristen declared.
"Why ?" She looked up.
"You've known both of them longer therefore you're closer to them."
"That's true honey." Fred said.
"Okay." She nodded. "I'll go over there."

"Good morning." Seth smiled as soon as Tina woke up. She jumped, but then calmed down.
"You slept there all night?" She asked in disbelief.
"Not all night, Amy was here for a little while."
"Where is she now?"
"Sleeping probably." He pointed to their room. She nodded.
"Do you want to talk abou-"
There was a knock at the door.
"Shit!" Tina grabbed Seth's arm. "Do you think that's him?"
He got up.
"I'll go see." He walked to the door, peeped through the eyehole and saw Maya standing there. He reluctantly opened the door.
"Hey." She said. "Is Tina here."
"I don't know Maya, is Tina here?" Seth said extra loudly so Tina could hear.
"Yes." She called.
"Come in."
Maya walked over to the couch and kneeled down next to her. Seth walked into the bedroom.
"You wanna talk about this baby?" She asked sweetly.
"I don't know what to say."
"Why did you break up with him? What did he do?"
Amy slowly walked out of the bedroom.
"Nothing...he...I just-I can't do it." Tina sighed.
"Okay..." Maya nodded.
"Why?" Amy walked over and sat next to Tina's curled up feet.
Tina looked at the two of them; her very best friends whom she loved and cared about her so much. That's why she couldn't tell them, they care too much. They would make her change her mind and she couldn't have that. She needed to be in charge of her life for once.
"I'm just...sick of him. You know? I need a break." She sat up, hoping her years of acting experience would pay off in that very moment.
"What about last night T? You were crying...and saying you couldn't marry him." Amy pointed out.
"He brought up marriage." Tina played it off cooly. "That's wen I realized I just couldn't do it. Sorry for being so dramatic."
"Well...okay." Maya nodded. "I understand, I'm glad you spoke up about it."
"Yeah." Amy nodded, but she wasn't buying it. "We'll always be here to support you, Tina."
"Thanks guys, I guess it'll be cool being single at a party!" She exclaimed, with a mischievous grin on. Maya and Amy nodded and they began talking.

"You know that's bullshit, right?" Seth clasped Amy's necklace as they got ready for the party that night, Tina in the shower.
"Yeah, of course. I need to know what happened." Amy said, extremely flustered. Seth grabbed her shoulders and turned her to look at him.
"Maybe you do, you probably will. But tonight enjoy yourself. Have fun! Think about yourself for a change. All this stress isn't good for our baby. We're going to have fun tonight, don't worry about Tina. As much as your concerned, she's fine and probably gonna get laid tonight." He looked into her eyes seriously. Amy wrapped her arms around his neck and took a deep breath.
"Oh, I love you so much Seth meyers." She leaned up and kissed him deeply, trying to non vocally show him how much she loved him.
"I love you." He mumbled through kisses. "So so much."

Should he go? Where else would he go that night? Would he just stay home alone? Jimmy had no idea what to do, he just laid sad and angry on the couch, trying to figure out where he went wrong. He still had friends that were gonna be there. God, his whole fucking life didn't revolve around Tina. He could go, have a couple beers with his buddies, then leave. But no, because the whole time he'd be watching Tina, getting depressed and more depressed by the minute. The depression would turn a couple of beers into cases. Then he'd be drunk and do something stupid to her.
See his dilemma?
His phone starting ringing, he picked it up. Fred.
"Hey Jimmy!" He said happily.
"What do you want?" Jimmy sounded more miserable than he intended.
"Are you coming tonight?" He asked.
"I don't know man-"
"Cmon!" He pleaded. "You're not going to let a girl ruin your fun, are you?"
Jimmy thought about this and decided; no. Tina could ruin their relationship and temporarily his heart, that is it.
"I'll be there." He said.
