Chapter fourty four

Thunder crashed lightning stuck, and rain slammed against the cabins
"Holy shit!" Finesse peered out the window. "This is serious!"
"What time is it?" Bill mumbled. Seth checked his phone.
"Eight thirty...." He saw that Jimmy had tried to call him back. He rolled out of his bead and called him. He should've been up by then.
"Seth?" He said.
"Jimmy."
"What's up."
"I think I know a way you can try to fix things with Tina..." Seth said.
"Oh my god buddy, thank you, please tell me man." Jimmy pleaded.
"Jim, she doesn't think you can love her. You have to show her, even if it's just for a couple minutes that you can love her." He ordered. Jimmy knew what he meant and was already developing a plan.
"Okay...and that'll work?"
"I hope so Jimmy, it's storming a bitch here so we'll probably stay in our cabins, I won't see the girls today. But when we all get back, you know what to do?"
"Yes! Thank you so much bud!"
They hung up and Seth suddenly became aware of the conversation going on around him.
"We just got a fax from victor saying that we have to stay here all day and use the emergency food and water supplies in the closet." Lorne read aloud.
"Shit, Kristen occasionally gets storm anxiety!" Bill groaned.
"Yeah and Amy has to eat for two!" Seth cried.
"So...what are you saying?" Lorne asked. Seth and Bill looked at each other.
"They want to be brave and heroic Prince Charmings!" Will exclaimed in a high pitched voice.
"Are you serious?" Lorne looked at them.
"I mean, all of the staff is away in shelter." Jason pointed out. Seth and Bill nodded.
"And we'll be back soon!" Seth promised.
"I can't believe I'm doing this." Lorne shook his head. "Go."
Seth and Bill high fived happily. Seth walked over to the closet and got out two granola bars, stuffing them deep in his hoodie, then they opened the door and started running.
"This is so awesome!" Bill laughed as they sprinted through the monsoon.
"I know, we just showed Fred how to treat a lady!" Seth exclaimed giddily. It only took about a minute to get to Maranotha so they began pounding on the doors. A very perplexed Rachel opened the door and they busted in, slamming the door behind them.
"Oh my god." Kristen grinned, walking over. "Boyfriend of the year." She wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him tight. He was so good to her.
"I brought you two granola bars, in case there wasn't enough food." Seth half smiled.
"You know there's only six girls in here, you didn't come for the granola bars." Amy laughed, collapsing into his arms.
"CUTENESS PORN!" Rachel covered her eyes. Tina and Maya stared in jealousy and awe.
"I did bring extra snacks though." Kristen laughed.
"I brought booze." Maya announced.
"Thank god! What kind?" Tina leaned over to look at her.
"All kinds! I brought beer, wine and vodka." She said.
"Holy shit!" Amy cried. "Did you pack all of abc liquor in there?"
Bill and Kristen went up and cuddled on her bunk, listening to everyone talk.
"I mean, I brought an extra suitcase for it!"
"Damn, you're a dedicated alkie!" Tina joked. Maya rolled her eyes.

After a little while, Seth and Bill decided it was time to go, both reluctant to leave the ones they loved the most. After the were gone, Maya looked at Amy and Kristen.
"What's it like?" She asked. "To have someone who loves you?"
"You know." Kristen said.
"No." she shook her head. "To be loved, like Seth loves you, and Bill loves you."
"It's something I waited all my life for, I've chosen douche bag after douche bag before I finally chose Bill. It's not something that comes right away." kristen said sincerely.
"Yeah Maya, but once you find that person you'll know...you'll feel it." Amy promised. Rachel nodded, smiling because she knows she feels it with Will.
"But I thought I felt it with Fred..." Maya said.
"Maybe you did." Tina blurted. Everyone looked at her, waiting for her to explain. "I mean, Bill lost his shit and got sent to jail because of Kristens asshole husband, Seth lost his shit and him and Amy were separated for a while, its not going to be perfect the first time, you just have to be patient and trust that if it's meant to be it will find a way." she said, partly to herself, partly to Maya. Rachel widened her eyes and started clapping.
"She's right." Amy smiled at Tina, she smiled back.
"Do you think..." Maya looked at everyone hoping they'd understand what she was trying to ask.
"As long as Amy and Kristen don't kill him first, possibly." Rachel said with a smile.
"But don't count on it." Amy grinned.
"Oh officer! I'm sorry! I didn't mean for that knife to fall into Fred's stomach!" Kristen spoke in a lofty British accent.
"You sound like a prostitute from the war." Tina giggled.
"Doesn't she?" Rachel exclaimed.
"She sounds like one." Maya grinned, raising her eyebrows.
"Hey not now Maya!" She laughed.
"Okay,everyone come down here, we're going to play never have I ever." Maya ordered, sitting on the floor and taking out her drinks from her drink bag.
"Ooh this ones a classic." Rachel crawled on over, then everyone came over arranging themselves in one tight circle.
"I brought some water for you Ames." Maya said.
"How considerite." She accepted the water.
"Alright...never have I ever made out with Lorne." Rachel posed. Everyone looked around.
"Alright, you got me." Amy took a swig of her water and everyone busted out laughing.
"Oh my god you're insane." Maya leaned her head on her shoulder.

The tabor boys had made it through the day. No talking really, they mostly drank and played cards, avoiding the words that needed to be said.it was around ten when people started turning in, ten thirty when the lights went off. There were about five minutes of silence before it was broken.
"Fred?" Bill said. "Why did you do it?"
Everybody's eyes flung wide open; which was useless because it was pitch dark out, but either way, everyone was listening.
"What I'm going to say is just going to sound like pussy bullshit." Fred said.
"Fred, you cheated on our friend! Right now you're like the definition of pussy bullshit." Seth exclaimed.
"Yeah man,just tell us what the hell you were thinking." Finesse cried.
"What I was thinking? Please get the fuck off me I have a girlfriend whom I love." Fred said seriously. There was a moment of silence.
"You're pulling the she came on to me card?" Andy asked.
"She did!"
"But you just sat there like a puppy with your tongue down her throat!?" Seth was mad, but not as mad as he was before.
"It was all wrong! Okay!? I swear to god she kissed me right when Maya came in! I just feel awful and I know she won't believe me! I already hurt her enough, I don't want her to think I would diminish her intelligence and lie to her." Fred blurted. Wow, everyone thought, Fred actually cares.
"Son,if what you're saying is true, I think you should try to explain tomorrow night at campfire." Lorne suggested.
"Do you still love her?" Bill asked.
"Do I still love her?" Fred repeated. "Of course I do."
"Maybe there's hope for Fraya after all." Seth broke out into a grin, and Bill started laughing. He had a point though.
