chapter sixty seven

"Well if the baby comes tonight or tomorrow, what will you want for your delivery as in us?" Maya asked Amy in front of everyone before that Saturday night's show. The baby was due sometime in the next couple of days and Seth and Amy had their bags packed, the room all ready and names picked out. This baby was bringing them closer than they ever have been. She laughed.
"Oh, it wont come tonight." she laughed again. "But when it does, I'll want Tina and Seth in the delivery room and whoever wants will stay outside and may come in once my child is born."
"Note how she's due tomorrow and still referring to her baby as an it because she wants it to be a 'surprise'." Tina rolled her eyes. People chuckled.
"Whatever, it'll probably come tomorr-"
"PLACES!" The stage manager called.
"LETS DO THIS!" Kristen high fived everyone and ran to her opening place. This was going to be an interesting night.

"REALLY!" Seth concluded his third 'Really!?' joke on weekend and the audience went crazy.
"Yeah US government-" Amy froze for a moment and she looked at Seth with bug eyes. "My water just broke."
"REALLY?!" he cried in shock.
"YEAH!" She yelled. "No I just took a really hard piss! I'M HAVING A BABY!" She yelled at the camera. The crowd started clapping and cheering. Tina ran out behind the desk and helped Seth get Amy out the back door.
"HAVE A PLEASANT TOMORROW!" The girls yelled, laughing. First Maya and Horatio ran out and started doing a little, then the whole cast was out there trying to buy time until the next sketch, the audience hysterically laughing and cheering them on.
"OH WHAT THE FUCK!" Amy screamed in the backseat of the car. Tina sat in the backseat with while Seth drove. "IT FEELS LIKE I'M SHITTING A CHAINSAW!"
"We're almost there." Tina tried not to laugh.
"GODDAMMMMMMMMIIITTTTTT SETH!" She screamed. "WHY'D YOU GET ME PREGNANT YOU DICK!"
"I love you sweetheart, it's going to be over soon and we're going to have a child together." he soothed. She screamed some more and he flew into the hospital parking lot.
"Alright c'mon," Seth and Tina helped her into the hospital and suddenly she was pushed into a wheelchair by some nurses and the three of them were running into the birth section of the hospital. She didnt want a midwife, but she was required a nurse who kept coaching her the first couple minutes.
"Text Jimmy and tell him to bring our hospital bags." Seth instructed Tina as he squeezed Amy's hand. She texted him with one hand and held Amy's with the other.
"Tina?" she asked. "TELL ME EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OKAY!"
"Everything is going! To be! Okay!" she assured her.
"Seth." she turned her head the other way.
"Yes babe?"
"Are you positive we want this kid?" she groaned.
"You know you're going to have to push it out no matter what?" Tina butted in.
"Shut the FUCK up scarface!" Amy jabbed.
"OOOh!" Seth grinned. Tina just laughed, knowing that wasn't going to be the only insulting thing she was going to say that night.
"Ames, we're going to have this baby, and no matter what it is, it is going to be beautiful." he hushed.
"Steady breaths!" the nurse reminded her.
"Hey blondie!?" Amy narrowed her eyes. "Why dont you shut the fuck up and let me and my husband have a moment-OOOWWWWWWW!"
Tina and Seth looked at each other with wild grins on their faces, it was going to be a long and wild night.

Once the show ended, everyone ran straight to the hospital and texted Tina to let her know they were there. Jimmy brought their hospital bags in and kissed Amy's forehead.
"Touch me again, I'll kill you." she grunted. Seth and Tina had about an hours worth of laughing they were keeping down for the sake of their lives.
"Breathe...this baby is going to be here soon." the nurse coaxed.
"Soon as in now?!?"
"Amy I dont know if I've ever loved you more than I do now." Tina noted.
"Great!" She exclaimed. "If I ever want you to love me all I have to do is-OOOOWWWWWW HOLY SHIT!" she screamed. The pain was getting unbearable to the point where she couldn't talk. She squeezed Tina's hand so hard she thought it was going to break and fall off. It didnt hurt Seth as much because he got her non dominate hand.
"It hurts." was all she could get out as she kept pushing.
"You can kick me in the nuts if you want." Seth said. For a moment Amy just stared blankly at the nurse who was trying not to laugh. Then she slowly turned her head to look at her fiance, silent for a moment.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" she said very calmly. "I'm giving birth and you want to me to kick you in the nuts." she turned back and Tina and Seth stiffled laughs. "AAAAAGHHHHH! GET OUT OF ME BABY!"

Outside of the room the whole cast, Lorne, Elizabeth, and Jimmy had been waiting for  hours sitting on chairs or slouching on floor. Some sleeping, some wide awake and talking, some simply waiting. They all wanted to be there if Seth or Amy needed them. It was well worth it.

August Dean Meyers was born at 6:54 in the morning to his loving parents. After everything was done and the baby was handed to them, Seth and Amy cried and kissed their baby, then kissed each other. Auntie Tina got a chance to hold him and kiss his forehead, telling him how beautiful he was. Amy apologized to her nurse and to Tina and Seth for all the awful things she said to them while she was in labor. At one point Tina and Seth let out all the laughs they had kept in all night, tears trickling out of their eyes. Then Amy stared into her babies blue eyes and cried again because his big innocent eyes reminded her that theres still good in the world worth fighting for.
"He's beautiful." Tina whispered.
"Thank god he looks like his mamma." Seth smiled.
"Thank you guys for this, thankyouthankyouthankyou." she inhaled, then looked at the doctors. "You can send them in." she said, referring to all her amazing cast mates who waited as she gave birth just to see her beautiful baby. They nodded and opened the door. Everyone flooded in, taking placed on either side of the bed, trying not to be loud or annoying.
"It's a boy." Fred smiled.
"No shit it's a boy!" Bill hissed. This cracked everyone up.
"What'd you name it?" Kristen asked, so awed by the sight of two of her best friends in one beautiful baby.
"August." she smiled. "August Dean."
"That's a really fine name." Lorne nodded. Seth and Amy gave him a smile of appreciation.
"So he's born in May and you named him August?" Horatio was legitimately confused. Everyone groaned in frustration and annoyance.
"God Horatio, do you ever just shut up and let people have a moment!?" Maya rolled her eyes. Amy laughed, more like cackled, so loud August looked at her, in shock.
"Son, August is a boys name as well as a month." Lorne tried not to be mean in the midst of Horatio's stupidity.
"Oh." he sighed. "Your baby is beautiful."
"Thank you."
"It really is, that baby is prettier than me and it's a boy." Rachel exclaimed, and everyone giggled.
"Welcome to the family, buddy." Jason smiled.
"I have a brother now." Elizabeth smiled.
"You do." Amy couldnt seem to stop smiling. She looked at her child and saw joy and love just come off of him. Seth squeezed her hand and she held her sons. She finally had the family she longed for.
