I jumped out of bed and began to pack.
I was only half certain that I wanted to leave, but I needed to be ready.
...I always needed to be ready.
If Yunho was on his way back, he'd arrive in a few hours, and Bo would be here by breakfast. It was perfect, really, because I'd have a choice.
The idea of going with Bo worried me, though, because he had no job for me, he didn't have the money to support me, and I didn't have the money to support myself. I really didn't want to end up back home. I couldn't stay here, though, if it meant breaking my heart over and over again. Bones I could manage...but my heart was sacred.
Packing proved to be an easy task. Most of my things were already in the suitcase. I brushed my teeth and threw my toiletries back in before sitting anxiously at the foot of the bed where I debated on whether or not to text Yunho... either to see if he was coming tonight or to give him the chance to explain...but decided against it. If he cared about me, he'd have reached out by now.
I crawled into the bed, realizing that some part of me still expected Yunho to come. But if he didn't, I'd be awake until breakfast. I felt embarrassed by my continued hope in him and decided to just sleep rather than pitifully wait for him. There was no reason for me to suspect that he would be driving back so late...not when he had a girlfriend there who would want to sleep with him.

It was 3:00 AM when I awoke to the sound of the door. It creaked on its old wooden frame, and yet I knew right away who the person was that was trying their best to be considerate and quiet.
"Char?" Yunho whispered in the dark. "Are you awake?"
I nearly began to cry at the sound of his voice... How could he sound so normal right now while I had been lying here falling apart?
"Yeah," I answered simply, not really in the mood to chat or hear him out. It was too late to get into it.
"Oh...good," he sighed in relief. "I didn't want to wake you up," he added while blindly searching for his pajamas and cursing when he stubbed his toe in the dark. "I'll be right back," he grunted, fighting through the pain in his foot.
I didn't have it in me to ask if he was okay.
I knew he had gone off to change, so I used the opportunity to claim my half of the comforter with a firm grasp.
"You wanted the left side of the bed tonight?" he asked as he climbed in. I hadn't even realized in my pain and grief over a relationship that never even existed that I'd fallen asleep where he had been...as if I needed to be close to him even if I was hurting because of him.
"Guess so..." I replied, still faced away.
"Watch anything good?" he asked, somehow having endless energy at these early hours. Even without looking, I could hear the smile in his voice. It irked me how innocent he sounded.
