Yoongi's point of view:
"Hyung, do you mind if noona stays with you? In our old house? Because she would not understand my reason of moving houses and would want to go back to her original one, the one where she grew up"
"Jimin, why do you think it would be a good idea to put me and her in the same house if she doesn't even remember me?"
"Hyung, she does remember you. Just not the fact that you were in a relation. Anyway, this would be a chance for you to be with her, try to bring back her memories, remind her of what you used to do, how you two behaved with each other, how you were related to each other"
"I'll try, Jimin, I'll try"
"Thank you, hyung" I shrug as he hugs me.
"When is she getting discharged?"
"She will be home by Friday" he smiles at me. Patting my back twice, he leaves, shouting a 'bye' as he sits in Seoyeon's car. I nod, waving back at him as they drive off. I spend the rest of my day cleaning stuff in her old room, arranging things as I remembered them to be. To be honest, I'm not too fond of the idea of her staying with me but I guess Jimin's theory had a point too. No harm in trying, I think before falling asleep that night.
Oh how wrong I was!
Friday came too early and she came home at four in the morning. I took her to her room and helped her get comfortable before going back to sleep beside her bed. She shook me awake in the morning, asking me for some water. I nodded, making my way to their kitchen, filling up the empty glass and going back upstairs.
"Are you going to stay with me? Like until I recover or something?" her small voice questions. I nod, gulping down the lump forming in my throat.
"Where is Jimin? Is he sleeping in his room?"
"No. He's at his apartment. Do you need something from him?"
"No, it's fine. Why did he move out though?"
"He felt like this house was too big for only him to stay in so he took a smaller one"
"Oh! Don't you have to go for work? Am I being a bother?" she asks after a few minutes of silence.
"No, it's okay. My bosses allowed me to work from home for a few months"
"How is your hardware shop going?"
"I quit that job. I'm working as a writer for an entertainment industry"
"Oh. That's nice" she says. I could feel the awkwardness floating in the air. I try to make my way out of the room to escape it.
"Where are you going?" her voice stops me at the door.
"I'm just downstairs. I'll grab some food for the both of us, bring my laptop along so I can work while you......" I trail off.
"What do you want to do today?" I ask, not wanting to assume what she wants to do.
"Can I catch up on movies? I'm getting bored of reading books. That's all I did at the hospital. They wouldn't let me watch a screen for more than thirty minutes, something about not triggering my migraine and stuff"
"What makes you think I will risk triggering your migraine?"
"I-I it's fine now. They discharged me, right? So I can do whatever I want" she shrugs, happy at finding an excuse for herself.
"I'm calling the hospital to check with them. Only then you will be allowed to watch movies" I say and I can see her smile drop. Is she trying to guilt trip me?
