Hey. As it's the start of the summer holidays I will be posting more often. For this chapter they aren't dating (yet). Also well done to everyone who just finished their exams (I could never 😮‍💨), I'm sure you all aced it! 😊 Hope you all enjoy your summer ❤️

It was a bright and warm day in Ostania, the kind that makes everyone feel a little lighter. The sky was clear with just a few fluffy clouds drifting lazily across the blue. A gentle summer breeze moved across the town, cooling the air and rustling leaves on the trees. The breeze seemed to carry away the worries and nervous energy that had filled the students' hearts just days before. Eden's students had spent weeks preparing for their exams, and up until last night, many had stayed up late studying or reviewing notes. Now, with their exams finally behind them, they felt a sense of relief wash over their tired bodies and buzzing minds. They could finally take a breath and relax, even if only for a short while. Some went on 'business trips' with their parents, while many stayed at school, to avoid damaging their reputation. 

This was also the case for Damian Desmond. Always under the public eye merely because of his name, Damian never had any free time. He was going to use this "break" to study for the mock exams after the summer holidays. He had it all planned so that maybe someday he could impress his father. 

On the other hand, Anya had a completely different idea of how to spend the summer break. For her, it meant letting loose, going wild and no more boring maths classes with Mr Elegant✨. She was sprinting down the hallway trying to find Becky, who had slipped away to her locker to check her summer plans, when she crashed into none other than Damian AND Master Henderson.

Now, Anya and Damian were sitting at desks on opposite sides of the room in detention. Anya was there because she was running down the hallway, crashing into other pupils and talking back to Master Henderson. 

Damian, it seemed, had been sent to detention to use his persuasive words to 'talk some sense into Miss Forger'. He was as pale as a ghost. It was their first week after the exams, and she had already got them both in detention. It wasn't going to be the nice, peaceful summer break he'd been hoping for. But then, when was anything ever as he expected when she was around? Although he did like it when things went as planned, Anya was an exception. She always seemed to brighten up his day when he felt low, and when she messed things up, they always turned out for the better. She knew just how to cheer him up, it was as if she could read minds. 

On the other side of the classroom, Anya, boiling with fury, was about to march up to Master Henderson's office and kick the door down. Not only had he wrongfully put her in detention, he had also dragged Damian in even though he had nothing to do with it. With the help of a few manga, books and Becky (of course) Anya had finally realised that she had feelings for Damian. The feelings she had once thought were caused by Mama's cooking were actually just butterflies in her stomach, which fluttered every time she saw him.

Damian was now sitting at the desk with his arms crossed, clearly annoyed by the outcome. Meanwhile, Anya was balancing a notebook on her head while juggling a ballpoint pen and a glittery object that he couldn't look at directly without being temporarily blinded.

"Great. Just what I needed – detention with the human tornado," he muttered, staring at the mess she had made in front of him.

Anya glanced at him with a smug grin. " Y'know I brought peanuts, just in case! You want some?" she said, holding out a half-empty packet of peanuts.
