Levi insisted that he picked me up rather than Jean. He said he might as well since he was tagging alone, and at that point I didn't care aymore. All I cared was about seeing Jean tonight.
I won't lie. I probably tried on seventeen outfits before Levi picked me up. I hate to be that girl, but it was like whatever I put on just wasn't right. I finally settled with a dark green dress (That was more like a long t-shirt) with a Day of the Dead themed skeleton walking a skeleton doggie that said "Hey baby, take a walk on the wild side..." in mustard yellow. It was probably one of the quarkest dresses I owned, but I felt like it was appropriate for Halloween. I wore thick black tights and short leather boots to go along, and a choker and necklace as well.
As I was filling my wrist with brackets, I heard Levi knock on my door. I rushed over to get it before my mom did. I zoomed by her as she held a bowel of candy for dressed up kids. I swung the door open, and saw Levi dress casually. He wore simple grey jeans and converse sneakers. His muscular torso wore a long sleeved black shirt, his arms impatiently crossed.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Rebel, who is this?" I heard my mom ask.
"Levi. We're going out for a bit. I'll be home later." I quickly explained, trying to get out. "Save me some candy, love you bye!"
I jumped out and closed the door behind me, letting out a deep exhale.
"What was that for?" Asked Levi.
"My mom always thinks that everything that has a penis is attracted to me, so I didn't feel like bothering with that." I sighed, scratching the back of my head with embarrassment. "Let's just go."
We got in Levi's car and drove off, passing by kiddies dressed up in their Halloween costumes. Thinking of my time as a kid trick or treating made me smile to myself.
"Oi, brat, where the hell are we going anyway?" Levi asked, interrupting my thoughts.
"The school. We're going to the woods near by it, but Jean said he would meet us at the front so we don't get lost."
"Tch, this plan just sounds stupider and stupider."
"You wanna come." I lazily pointed at him. "And don't worry, it'll be fun with me with you."
"I doubt that. I'm only coming because you'll be an idiot like usual and probably fuck something up."
"Can't argue with that. But arn't you the one who said you're not my babysitter? Come on, Levi, it's okay to have fun once in a while." I smirked. Levi rolled his stone grey eyes, ignoring my comment. We pulled up to the front of the closed school, Jean sitting on the front steps. He smiled as Levi turned off the car and I stepped out.
"Glad you could make it." Jean greeted me.
"Definitely. Thanks for waiting for us. And again, thanks for letting Levi come too." I smiled politely, Levi walking over to us. Jean glanced over at Levi, a bitter look flickering in his eyes, then softened as they returned back to my own.
"Sure thing. Come on, the party is this way." Jean motioned us over towards the woods located at the side of the school. Jean held out his flashlight on his phone, guiding us through the bushes and roots. The moon was full and a hint of yellow. I think tonight was a harvest moon, making the night perfect.
