I now had two reasons to go to the main office, and I couldn't give a flying fuck if I was late for the next class. It would save another forty five minutes of awkward pain if I was to walk into another wrong class.
Kids swormed around me in the hallway, and I had to maneuver my way around them. After crawling my way though, I made it to the main office, which was smack dab in the middle of the school making it so easy to find. I opened the door, and shut out the loud noises of chatty teenagers. The secretary sat at her desk, her eyes glued to the computer screen.
"Excuse me?" I asked her. Her face was caked with makeup, and I had to hold back a snort when I saw she was wearing electric blue eyeshadow.
"Can I help you?" She asked.
"I just need my locker number and maybe a map of the school?" I requested, resting a hand on the tall desk.
"No problem, sweetheart." She said, turning back to the computer and started typing with her long, cheap acrylic nails. "Just give me your name."
I gave her my name, and she printed out my locker number and combo.
"And a map? I don't want to get lost." I said, mentally writing down Eren's name on my hit list.
"Oh I'm sorry, we don't have any of those anymore. The last of it went out to the freshman class." Right when she aplogized, the sound of kids getting to their classes flooded the room for a second behind me. I turned around, seeing the rude boy from class before. He looked as though he didn't even see me when he came in; simply walked up to the counter without so much as a glance. This gave me the opportunity to realize how short he was. When sitting down and establishing dominance through his upmost rudness, he seemed like he would be very tall. He had to have been only my hight. Maybe a tad taller if you don't include the hight of my hair, but I'm pretty sure he would still be classified as a shorty.
"Hey there, Levi." The lady smiled at him, revealing some hot pick lipstick staining her teeth. "Here's your detention pass. You know where the detention room is, right?"
"Yeah, yeah." He grumbled, taking the orange pass as she slid it over to him.
"So how else am I suppose to get around the school?" I asked the clown-faced lady.
"Why don't you have Levi here help you out today?" She suggested.
Levi finally looked at me, and it was like he just noticed I was a foot away from him. His eyes were hooded at mine, then at my schedule in my hands. "Why?" He asked flatly, his cold silver eyes back at my own.
"She's new, silly!" Laughed the secretary. "Looks like you two have enough classes together anyway. If you do, I'll let that detention off the hook. I'll let Mr. Smith you made it there." She whispered with a wink. I think if this bastard could show any emotions, he would shudder.
"Fine." He grumbled. "Come on." He instructed, already walking out of the air conditioned office.
"Thanks for helping me out, I really appreciate it. This school is huge and-"
"Give me that." Levi cut me off, snatching my schedule out of my hands. I tilted my head at him, a mixture of annoyance and surpise spread across my face. "You have art history next. I don't. Jesus, why did Mrs. Dale make me do this..." he muttered under his breath. "Come on." He said again, marching down the hall. I tried to keep up, but for a guy his hight he sure did strut down the halls like a fucking runway model.
"So, you're name is Levi?" I asked, trying to spark up a conversation. "I'm Rebel."
"That's a shitty name." He remarked bluntly "We're your parents liberal fruitcakes or something?"
