Rebel's P.O.V

Jean's body flew back right as I punched him with all of my might. His arms dangled away from him as he fell back, blood trailing from his nose in the air. The cafeteria went deadly silent, everyone just as surpised as I was. I could feel their eyes burning into me, making my skin itch. I took in a shaky breath and mustered the courage to look at everyone. Jaws were dropped and eyes were wide with complete shock. Across the room stood Levi, his cobalt grey eyes even big as he stared at me. Jean moaned on the ground, and before I could look at him Mr. Smith ran in; a teacher next to him.

"What going on here?" He boomed, echoing through out the cafeteria. His ocean blue eyes met with mine and I swallowed my thin saliva. Mr. Smith looked at Jean, and motioned the teacher to fetch a nurse. "Miss. Armstrong, if you would come with me, please."

"Y-yessir." Words poured out of my mouth and I walked over to the tall man. Everyone's eyes followed me, including Levi's as I passed him.

My head hung as I sat in the main office, the tips of my toes touching the ground. I could hear the faint voices of Mr.Smith and my mom talking in his office. I didn't know if my mom is going to be proud of what I did or punch me too. My head snapped up when the sound of the door slowly opening crawled into my ears. Levi stood there, one hand on the doorknob and the other tucked in his black slacks.

"Hey." He greeted calmly.

"Hey." I mumbled, looking back down. Levi walked over and sat down next to me, both of his hands in his pockets now.

"I take it you found out." He said, his voice stoic as per usual.

"Yeah. Marco told me." I sighed, slouching in my chair. "...Wait, how do you know about all of this?" I asked, puzzled.

"I over heard Jean talking about it in the bathroom. I was actually on my way to punch him, but you bet me to it." He explained in a monotone voice. I glanced over at him, taken a back by his words. "I'm glad you did though. It wouldn't have meant anything if I did. Hell, if Marco didn't tell you and I punched Jean, you would have kicked my ass."

"Probably." I breathed a chuckle. "If it means anything...I'm sorry."

"For what? Punching him?"

"No, of course not. I haven't felt this great in forever."

Levi turned his head towards me, taking a good look at my face. "You don't look so great."

"I guess I'm just a little dissapointed in Jean." I shrugged, then folded my arms over my chest.

"Then why are you sorry?" Levi arched a thin brow; intrigued.

"For not believing you when you tried to warn me about him." I said quietly. Levi stared deep into my eyes. He almost appeared appalled my aplogize. I was too, seeing how stubborn I was about it before. Levi let out a sigh and placed a hand on my shoulder, giving me a little rough shake. I think it was suppose to be an act of affection, but it was more like an awkward father ruffling his sons hair. Either way it brought a smile to my face.

"Don't aplogize. He got what he deserves. What you really should be apologizing for is that horrible punch. Seriously, who taught you how to punch like that?"

"No one. Maybe I could practice them on you." I smirked, playfully elbowing him. He gave me half a grin, shaking his head. A question popped in my head, making my smile fade away as Levi and I both faced the oatmeal colored wall before us. It made my chest feel weird to want to ask Levi this. It shouldn't matter though. If I was to, say for example, ask Eren or something, it wouldn't matter. But this question I thought seemed like it needed to be answered by Levi. "Do you...think I'll be with a guy better than Jean?"

Levi's eyes looked at me from the corners, not looking very surpised like I had expected. "I do. You...deserve better than that. By a long shot." He answered quietly, his eyes back on the wall.

Now come to my surpise, I was taken aback by his answer. I glanced over at him, my eyebrows raised. "What do you mean by that?"

His eyes grew big and a tint of pink dusted his cheeks. "What are you talking about? I'm just trying to make you feel better, dipshit, don't ask questions!"

Before I could answer to his blunt outburst, Mr.Smith's office door open, and my mom stepped out. She was still in her purple scrubs from work, her mousy brown hair in a messy bun. Her eyes met with mine, and it was impossible to read them. Mr.Smith followed her out, then shook her hand.

"Ms. Armstrong, it was a pleasure meeting you. I'm glad we got to talk about this." He said, his voice too professional and serious.

"You too. I'll be taking my daughter home now." She said with a nod.

"Am I suspended?" I asked.

"Just for today, yes." Mr.Smith answered. I swallowed and stood up, holding my bag in my hands.

"You ready?" Mom asked. I nodded, glancing over at Levi who stood as well. "Okay, come on." Mom nodded towards the door. She seemed terribly annoyed, and I knew I was in for it. I took in a deep breath, looking back at Levi one last time. He gave me a single nod, like I was going to be okay. I weakly smiled back at him and followed my mom outside.

She didn't say a word as we walked through the empty halls, making me feel uneasy. Once we made it to the parking lot, she turned at me, a huge smile spread across her face.

"I'm so proud of you!" She gushed, suddenly hugging me.

"W-what?" I stuttered, complely thrown off.

"Mr.Smith told me all about what you told him! That Jean kid sounded like a jerk, and I'm glad you stood up for yourself."

"Then why were you acting so weird in the school?"

"Oh, I was just mad at your principle." She said with a wave of her hand. "He wanted to suspend you for a week and make you aplogize to him. I don't know why though, you were complely in the right."

"He looked uncomfortable when I explained the situation..." I mumbled, recalling how wide his blue eyes grew when I told him Jean wanted to sleep with me and nothing more.

"But I convinced him for you to just come home today. I think he thought I was pretty cute." She grinned.

"Oh brother." I rolled my eyes, getting in the car with her.

"Speaking of cute, who was the boy with you in the office?"

"Levi, the guy who comes over and plays cello with me."

"You never told me how handsome he was." She teased, starting the car.

"If in handsome, you mean in a trampled flower way, then yeah, he is."

"I wish you would introduce us." She hinted.

"Fine." I chuckled. "I'll have him come over his weekend, I can make dinner. It'll be my way of saying thank you for making me dinner last time."

"Sounds good, sweetie." She smiled. "I can't wait to meet my future son in law."

"Mom, stop!" I whined, making her laugh. I'll admit, even if dad was gone, I thanked my lucky stars that I still had my mom.
