My mouth was open ajar as my eyes slowly averted from Kenny and down onto my lap. There was no a trace of another person in dad's car when he was found. Dad never mentioned mom, me, nor his boss, about meeting up with Kenny. Knowing dad, he probably want to me a bother and wanted to make the meeting with Kenny sweet and simple.

But what caught me by the heart was that all in all, Kenny didn't actually kill my father. He sacrificed himself in hopes of saving my mother and I. Dad was in an uneasy position, and he was willing to take drastic measures to save us.

I couldn't let this moment take my life that dad tried to save so badly. It wouldn't be fair to him.

"Say hi to your dad for me, doll face." Kenny wickedly grinned as he drew out a pistol, and I couldn't help but wonder of it was the same weapon used against dad. With a burst of energy I scrapped up from my weak muscles, I sprang up and slammed my elbow up to his groin. He let out a chocked gasp, and stumbled back. I finished the fall and rammed a fist into his throat. Once he was on his back, I lunged at his arm and trapped it underneath my legs. He held a tight grip on his gun as I tried to pry it out. Just as I almost freed it, he rolled over and shoved me on the ground and pinned me down with the gun at the side of my throat. His eyes were wide and glassy, his greasy hair falling in strings over his forehead.

"That's it," he hissed, cocking the gun. Blood from his wound on his wrist that I created dripped down on my cheek.

"No!" I screamed, trying to wiggle my way out of his body. "No, I will fight! I will not let you win!"

"All you do is fight, yet you keep losing."

"No, I'm not going to lose!" I shouted. Yet, there was nothing as a defense mechanism that I could use. I was at too much of an awkward angle to try and get the gun out of his hands, not to mention my hands were stuck beneath him. My options were limited, but there was one thing I could do, and I had to do it now.

I twisted his nipples.

I clamped my fingertips down on them, making sure not to only grab the fabric of his shirt, twisting and pulling with all of my might (also feeling free to let my nails dig in). He let out a roar like a bear, and the revolver slipped from his fingers. In one quick motion, I let go and pushed myself out from his shoulders while he arched his back, and pushed out. I fumbled my hands around the gun, and at last, I had him rapped around my fingers. He stood at his knees before he realized what I possessed in my hands.

With one shot I his hit shoulder, then two his thigh. He cried out an agonized yell, and fell over against the wall. He twitched and grabbed hold of his injured leg, tiny groans slipping by his chapped lips. I slowly walked over, my hands clutching the gun. Once our eyes connected, he mustered a painful, ill humored chuckle.

"What, are you gonna kill me now?"

"I could..." I mumbled, but then found my voice as I stated. "But that won't bring my dad back. Or fix my mom. Or...or even heal Levi. You're an awful man, Kenny. I'll let the police decided if you're worth living."

Kenny looked away with a shake of his head. "You're as dumb ass Levi."

"Damn right." I smirked. With that, I spun the revolver around and smacked him upside the head, and he instantly dropped to the floor. I let out a shaky breath, knowing his was still alive, and ran for Levi. I heard a moan come from the dark, and found Levi propping himself up on a bar stool as he rose.

"Rebel-"

"HolyshitLevi!" I gasped and tackled him to the ground. He swore and held me tight, while I couldn't help but laugh. I then quickly shifted back into panic. "Are you okay? What did he do to you?"

"He hit me on the head with something and I passed out," he growled, rubbing the back of his head. "I'm gonna kick his ass-"

"Taken care of." I cut him off.

"What?" Levi raised an eyebrow. "How?"

"I twisted his nipples."

"...I swear to god, you are the strangest girl I've ever dated, shitty curls." He suddenly pulled me into a tight hug, taking me by surprise.

"Levi?"

"I'm sorry I couldn't save you." He mumbled as his chin rested against my shoulder. My lips melted onto a smile, and I hugged back.

"Its okay. I...I saved myself." I whispered, hugging him back. "I needed that feeling that I can take care of myself again."

--------------------------------------------------

It wasn't long before the police came. After I left Erwin has heard his car pull away, so they've been searching for me since. They took away Kenny, now awake, but didn't say a word as he stalked by me handcuffed. Yet is cold eyes dug into the depth of my soul, leaving behind a icky feeling coating my belly. However, once he was crammed away in an ambulance, I felt a sense of relaxation wash over me like a cool wave, washing away any grief I've been suffering for the last year and a half.

Any charges against Levi were dropped, along with any questioning. Everyone there was awfully proud of me, seeing I was the pipsqueak of a girl that managed to kick some ass.

I sat on the back of the ambulance with a blanket draped over my shoulders. A parametric had just checked up on me, when Levi came over.

"You mind giving us a moment?" He asked her. She nodded and left, Levi sitting next to me. Not a word was spoken to us. I peered over at him, his coal locks shagged over his forehead as his eyes hung low. "I'm sorry I couldn't save you."

"I know. And I already told you that it was okay."

"I know. It is okay. I wanted to thank you."

"Thank me?"

"Yeah," He said quietly, his sterling blue eyes finally met with mine. "You saved me. I lived with Kenny since I was a kid. I can't tell you how many time I wanted to leave. Just run away and never see him again. And that's what I planned on doing. But I knew...I knew in the back of mind I would never be able to live with myself knowing all of the shitty things he's done to me. To you. And what proof did I have? But you...you were stronger than me. You didn't give a fuck what got in your way. You didn't need proof. You just needed to kick some ass."

I was grinning from ear to ear at this point. I grabbed him by his collar and yanked him into a smiling kiss. He stiffened for a moment, but then slowly melted into it, cupping my cheek with a bandaged hand. With a deep breath between us we pulled away, a smirk drawn over his lips.

"I bet that hurt you lip like a bitch." He pointed out.

"Yeah, but I didn't want a moment like that to slip away. That was like, cliche movie shit right there." I laughed, intertwining my fingers into his own. Then, a silver car pulled up to the side of the road, seeing the faint hint of sunshine blond hair inside.

"Oh shit, I forgot I took Erwin's car." I muttered as he stepped out and walked over to the ambulance. He stood before me, a stoic look over his face as his eyes met with mine.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, kinda." I nodded once.

"Are you sure?"

"Just a few cut's and bruises. The concussion is minor, too."

"Did you give Kenny hell?"

"I whooped his ass." I grinned. Erwin grinned as well.

"'Atta girl." He chuckled. "I've got some news you'll like to hear as well."

I glanced over at Levi, then back at Erwin. "What is it?"

Erwin's round blue eyes smiled along with his lips as he spoke the words: "You're mom is awake."
