I sat on a bench outside of the school as I waited for Levi. The chilly fall air nipped at my cheeks, carrying the end of my red scarf with the wind. I dug my hands deep in the pockets of the grey hoodie Jean let me borrow (He felt bad I had to walk home in the frigid weather and in my stupidly short shirt and knee high socks, along with "Levi's cold attitude", he added with a lame pun. I swear, I hate my own taste in men). Levi finally walked out of the school, his bag slung over his left shoulder.

"Ready?" I asked, standing up. Levi shrugged his shoulders in response. "My house is this way. It's not to far." I started heading towards the direction, when he let out a: "Tch."

"What?" I asked, confused at why he sounded irritated.

"I have a car, dumbass. We'll just drive there." He explained flatly.
"Oh." I mumbled. "Well, let's go."

We walked out to the student parking lot, nearly empty by now. Levi and I didn't say a word, making it all the more awkward. Levi pulled out a bundle of keys and unlocked a shiny, black corvette.

"Holy shit." I breathed. "You've got an awesome car."

"Get in." He ordered, not even reacting to my awe. I didn't argue and hopped right in. The black leather squeaked when I sat down. The inside and outside of the car was spotless.

"Damn, smells like someone threw up Windex in here its so clean." I commented.

"Yeah, so don't dirty it up." He muttered, igniting the engine to life and pulled out of the school. We drove to my place, the only speaking between us was when I gave him directions. I hated the awkward silence, so I asked: "So, how was your day?"

"How was my day?" He repeated with mild annoyance.

"It's how most civilized beings start a conversation when there's too long of an awkward silence. I could have commented on the weather, but I was afraid that would piss you off. Guess I can't win." I said, putting my hands up.

"Let's just get this over with." He growled. He pulled up to my apartment complex, a confused look sparking across his face for a second. "This is where you live?"

"Sure is." I rolled out of the car, grabbing my brown leather bag. Levi followed behind as we went up the stairs to the second floor, me fishing out my keys with an elephant keychain my aunt got me from India.

"Excuse the mess. We moved in last month and we still haven't unpacked everything." I explained as I unlocked the door. I opened the door to the apartment. It wasn't big, but it was nice looking. It reminded me of one of those cool apartments in Florida or something, especially since the stairs to get in were outside. I tossed my keys on the counter and threw my shoes off in the corner. Levi looked around, his nose slightly crunched. "Judging by your car, you probably think this is a shit hole, huh?"

"It could be worse. It just smells weird." He grumbled.

"Oh, that's probably my cats litter box. I have to change it whenever I get home."

"That's disgusting."

"What? Everyone shits, why can't cats?"

"Not that, it just shouldn't smell up to high hell."

"I know it's pretty ratchet, but it's not that bad."

"It's pretty damn bad."

"Well instead of bitching to me about it, let me go clean it up." I aruged. Levi rolled his cool grey eyes, signaling that he had given up.

"Just hurry up. And make sure you wash your hands."

"Whatever, clean freak. There's some air freshener in the kitchen that smells like unicorn farts if that helps." I said, walking down the hall. As I cleaned the litter box, my grey cat came strolling down out of my room.
