Levi's P.O.V
The weekend became something of the past and we were back in school once again. The same old thing, same old stupid classes. I walked over to Hanji in study hall while she worked on her science homework; looking way to happy for a high schooler doing any sort of homework.
"Hey shorty!" She waved at me as I sat across from her at the table. We meet up at the library every study hall and lunch we had together. We both hated how noisy it got, so we enjoyed it just being us two; along with the other four at lunch time. "How was your weekend?"
"Fine." I shrugged, pulling out my math binder.
"How was Rebeeeell?" She teased, obnoxiously wiggling her eyebrows at me.
"Fineeeee." I mocked her tone of voice. "And I told you, it's not like that."
"Uh, huh. Mike agrees with me, by the way." Hanji smirked, pointing to herself with her thumb.
"Thats great, I don't care."
"He thinks she likes you too. She talks about you to him."
"Fan-fucking-tastic. Can I do my homework now?"
"Not until you tell me more about her." She sang.
"Jesus," I swore with a sigh. "I can't even walk with a pretty girl in the hallway without you seeing and flipping shit, can I?"
"...You just called her pretty." Her grin grew wide while she bit down on her bottom lip, probably to not let any squeals out. She looked like an idiot, that's for sure.
"That's not what I meant, shitty-glasses." I snarled. "God, I miss the days where I wasn't interrogated everyday over this girl."
"No, this isn't some girl." Hanji shook her head. "You're differnt lately. You're nicer."
"Shut the fuck up, you dildo."
"It's true! You have more patients with me, you hardly ever lose you're temper lately; I even heard you humming while you were cleaning the other day!"
"That proves nothing! I always hum when I clean, too. Either way it's not true."
"Look, I'm just going to ignore you so listen to me instead. She likes you, you like her. Your a grouch all the time and probably need to get laid. Come on, she and I have Latin together and she's really nice. You should go for it."
"Hanji, stop."
"Why?" She whined, stomping her feet and slouched her shoulders. "You two would be so cute together!"
"Because she likes someone else, alright?" I snapped, crossing my arms as I glared at her.
"So? You just gotta surgery remove the boyfried." Hanji pointed her pencil at me, like she was teaching me the greatest lessons in life.
"She doesn't have a boyfriend, dumbass."
"Then what's the hold up, Romeo?"
"There is no hold up. She likes someone else and...she's got her heart set on him. I don't think I can change her mind."
"Never know till you try-"
"I have, you ass fiddle." I barked. Hanji's muddy brown eyes got big with understanding.
"Wow...so you really do like her-"
"I don't." I argued, my voice crackling like fire. "Whatever, I need to take a shit."
"Think of me while you do!" She chirped as I slammed my binder shut and stood from the chairs.
I went to the bathroom and opened one of the stalls, and leaned against the green walls. I pulled a cigarette out of my pocket and lit it, slowly exhaling clouds of grey smoke. I didn't really need to take a shit, I just needed to get away from Hanji for a moment. We may have know each other since diapers and was someone I considered to be a sister, but boy she could drive me up the wall sometimes. I heard the doors open, and I was worried for a moment it would be Erwin. But the voices that walked in reassured me it was just some students. And not just some students.
