Ashley's POV
I decided to go home. I'm planning to talk to Jared about everything. I don't care if it will hurt. I just want it to end now.
Just like before, I saw the same mercedes benz parked infront our house but I entered anyway. I wish he's here.
My heart is beating so fast as I entered the house. Laura was stunned by my presence. "Hello." I greeted her.
The other maids stood beside her, frozen.
"Is everything okay?" I asked them but they just bowed their heads and left. Laura was left there standing with worry in her face.
"Welcome home, madam." And she left.
This is the first time I heard her call me that way other than when she pledged her loyalty to our family. What is going on?
I hurried upstairs and found no one in our bedroom.
I, however, heard something in the bathroom so I went to take a peek.
I saw two silhouettes through the blurred glass wall making love.
It made me shiver and made my heart blast in its endless loud beats. It hurt me so much that I lost every breath I try to take in. Though I can't clearly recognize the faces, I knew it was Jared. I fell on my knees but I tried to get up.
The hurt in my heart started to fade. Numb because of the hurt. Too much hurt.
Jared Wills, you better remember everything you put me through. I'm giving all these back to you.
I wiped my tears and redid my make up. After that, I sat at the edge of my bed, composed myself and waited for them to finish their mess.
"... I'll just finish washing up." A voice of a girl reached my ears.
Then Jared went out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped in his lower body.
The hurt in my chest regained itself but I fought the tears back. Not now that I composed myself.
His eyes widened in shock. Something he can no longer hide and he didn't try to hide.
"Ashley I..."
"You have a visitor... in our room. In our matrimonial room." I smirked.
His brows furrowed and tried to talk but he just left his mouth open.
"You guys better get dressed first." I stood to leave our room. "And oh..." I paused before I completely left the room. "Tell her I have extra clothes in the walk in closet. Those are all new." I smiled at him and left.
I hurried to the room adjacent to ours and breathed. I inhaled with my mouth and filled my whole lungs with a shaky lips. My tears were forming but I fought it back by remembering what I saw. Remembering my son.
I fixed myself again and waited in the living room.
I stood as they passed by the living room. "Finally, Ms. Stacy...?" I asked her surname but she just stared at my hand offered to her for handshake.
"I don't play games, Ashley." She said then left. Jared was just standing at the staircase with his hands in his pocket.
Like having an affair with my husband is not a game.
I faced Jared but he looked at his feet avoiding my gaze.
"I can't imagine how I'm going to explain this to your son. How do I tell him that his Dad was having an affair with another woman in our very own house?" I asked walking towards him.
He blinked his eyes. "Let him out of this, Ashley."
I shook my head. He's not getting my point.
