Avrile went crazy over her ice cream cake and totally forgot about me being here. Actually, not just the cake but also with Jared. They are now the new best buddies. Well, I think Jared did a good bribing with the kid.
I can now see how great father he will be. And I know, mom is thinking the same.
*** Jared's POV
Sunset came and we decided to throw a little barbeque party for the family. I always wanted to know how it feels like to live like this. Having neighbors, parties, and such.
Ash invited some of her friends whom she didn't see for a long time. It was a good party. Her friends are all welcoming and treated me like they didn't know I am a multi billionaire's kid. I mean, normally. I don't usually get this kind of treatment.
While Ashley is giving her girl friends a little chit chats, I was with the boys, having some story telling about Ashley.
I learned that she was once a ballet dancer when she was a kid before Jcee, that stupid guy, told her that she looked like a pig in her pink ballet outfit. I also learned that she's not scared of snakes and worms but afraid of bees, she hates pink, she doesn't eat oranges or anything that's citrus, and the most traumatic event she's even been through was when she accidentally stepped on her childhood pet, a hamster, which caused its death.
All of these, I learned from these boys who were her neighbors since her first day.
I scanned some pictures displayed on top of the chimney when Tom, a guy who lived next door, stood beside me.
"Heard you are a racer." He said.
I simply nodded and took a gulp from my beer.
"Wow. How'd do that?" He asked.
"Do what? Race?"
He laughed. That's when I noticed a picture of her riding a sports car which I assume was Jcee's. "No. I mean, how'd you make her close to you? She hates racers."
"Well, Jcee's a racer. And he is her friend for a reason." I said. But it made me remember something very important. "Wait. Do you know why she hates it so much?"
He looked at me, confused. " You didn't know?" I shrugged. "Sorry, man. Not really my story to tell. Go ask her about it but I'm warning you, she won't be too happy when you do."
With that, he left me. I looked at the picture. She looks happily driving the car. What happened to make her hate it so much? But I guess I don't want to ask her that. I'll wait until she trusts me enough to say.
*** Gina's POV
Another quick drop of time. Cley came back from Korea.
"How's everyone?" He asked me.
He called me to their race track to have a little chat as he replace his engine. He said he bought new one from tokyo. I don't really know how far Korea is from Tokyo but that's his story. Not mine.
"Well, Ashley's on her 9th month, Jared's still on his CEO training, if that's how it's called, Jcee is now in cooperation with Nissan, no one knows how he did that, Tyler's still on his not-so-mission-accomplished mission on his own engagement, I'm on my last year here and you are just back from Asia." I smiled sheepishly at the end. What a complete reporting.
He scratched his brow. "Wow. That's... quite... fast."
Of course, it's fast. Damn it, Cley! You've been gone since forever! You missed a lot of things and that's how you catch up?
Why am I even mad in my mind when I'm smiling brightly outside??? Jesus, Gina. You are one psychotic bitch.
"How are you doing with Tyler?"
