"I told her to go rob a bank."

Cassies eyes went wide as Papa Wolf stared at her with an unwavering expression, that smile on his face just as ghostly as the look in his eyes.

"I stared er' dead in the face..and told her to go rob a bank for me. To earn for me. And if she didn't, I'd leave her to starve and die. And in the process, she almost died anyway." Papa Wolf said. He was speaking like this was another Tuesday for him. No big deal. No big..anything.

And Cassie? Cassie was livid just because he didn't seem to care.

Reeling her hand back with a snarl that resembled a real wolf despite her humanity, she slapped Papa Wolf hard on the face. The crack, sounding like that of a whip.

He didn't even flinch.
He barely even blinked.

Just took it with that same smile on his face, even though he probably saw the slap coming from miles away. He reflexes have always been sharp, after all.

The little wolf flicked her head over to the other side of the room at the sound of the slap, as did Auther, both of their brows furrowed with concern.

"Papa Wolf?" She murmured quietly.

Nobody heard it.

"What. Is wrong with you. Why would you go and say something like that. To a young girl her age?" Cassie whisper shouted as Aurther diverted the little wolfs attention onto more coloring pages.

Papa Wolf said nothing, just staring off into the distance. It wasn't until Cassie grabbed him by the collar that she got a reaction out of him.

"Answer me." She growled out. "I'd be willing to tell you the entire story, Cassie..if you're willing to listen." Finally, Papa Wolfs expression changed. But not in a good way. He glared down hard at Cassie, smile falling away, "But let go of me. I already let you slap me, but I'm not entirely too keen on letting you do anything else..."

Cassie didn't even flinch. Papa Wolf knew she wouldn't but..at least he got his point across. Because in the end, Cassie obliged by his wishes and slowly let go, folding her arms across her chest.

"Talk." She said. Firm. Blank. No room for discussion, really. And what did Papa Wolf do?

Well, he talked of course. Hes never been good at keeping his mouth shut anyway.

"..I didn't know I had a kid..even if she isn't really a kid,"

He started,

"I knew she was using my DNA for experiments. I just let her, because I loved her. I loved her. That was the woman I wanted to marry. Spend the rest of my life cherishing and loving until the day I was put into the ground, one way or another. And because of that? I was too blind to see anythin'. The red flags..the little quips..Hints at something too big for even me to handle. It wasn't until the fallout - the fallout you know about already - that I left. Left her with all her little toys..her friends..lab rats she liked to put together before tearing them apart all over again..all of em'. The woman got me arrested, just for that. Sentenced to life. I broke out again, of course..why would I? And then? I was on the run. I don't..remember what happened in that time..There was a lot of blood. Alot of women, heh..Alot of..moments where I just have to sit with myself and realize I don't deserve to live. Why am I still here? Why's my heart still beating in my chest? But, somehow, 5 years passed. I was still alive. Sill breathing. Still moving on autopilot. And one day I was in an alleyway. Smokin' some brand of cigarettes I don't even remember the name of to try and quiet my thoughts. I was hungry. I was broke. I was lonely. Then..she walked up to me."
