Chapter 19

At last! I thought as I had already sunk at the warm water of the bathtub. At last I'm relaxing a little. And of course I am getting clean. I thought again and closed my eyes relaxing. Not thinking anything in particular. Not about the Pearl, about my men, about Willams, about Arthur, about nothing! Arthur? How did he got evolved in my mind again? At that I only frowned from anger with myself. "Ugh! Stupid, stupid, stupid Scarlett! Stop thinking for a little. Can you?" I said aloud to myself, as my eyes were still closed.

"Why are you stupid love?" Arthur whispered at my ear behind me. He might have startled me but I relaxed at his gently touch at my shoulders. "You know it wasn't very good what you did down there. Leaving me to pay for your bath and stay."

"I am not sleeping one more night at the Meaden with you again in my life. Even if they were threating to kill me." I said and left a soundless moan as he continued massaging my shoulders.

Arthur just chuckled. "Really love? I will arrange that then." He said and got up, leaving my shoulders to protest as his hands left them.

"Why are you standing there huh?" I asked Arthur rather calm, as he took a chair and sat at the corner opposing me, with his arms on the back of the chair.

"I thought it pisses you off when someone is in the same room as you when you are bathing." He said and raised a bushy eyebrow.

"Yeah. But not now." I said and closed my eyes again.

"Huh?" I heard only Arthur to murmur.

I just sighed and opened my eyes. "You see Arthur. At your ship there was only water at the little 'bathtub'." I said while using my fingers for emphasis at the word 'bathtub'. "But here you can see bubbles above the water and lather. So you can't see my body. The end." I said and closed my eyes to relax once again.

Arthur only chuckled from his seat and continued watching me as I was staying still and soundless at the bathtub with my eyes closed, relaxing. After about ten minutes, Arthur got bored and couldn't help himself but wondered out loud one simple thing. "How much longer are you going to sit there and enjoy the now cold water?"

"Not much longer. This is what I was thinking now Arthur. When I'm going to get out." I said and opened my eyes. I glanced at him and Arthur understood what it meant.

"Yeah, sorry. I'll leave you to get out and get dressed." Arthur said and walked out of the room.

At last. I sighed and got up wrapping a towel around my body. I will have to wash my hair tomorrow. I'm not in the mood for that right now. I thought and after my body was dry I wore my shirt and one pair of pants as I got ready for the night.

As I walked outside and closed the door behind me, I tried to walk until someone grabbed my hand. "Oh, easy love. It's me." I turned my head and saw Arthur.

"What the bloody hell do you want Arthur now?" I asked him and he let gently my hand.

He put a sad face and looked at the floor. "I'm sorry, I just thought that you wanted to learn where was your room."

"Oh…" I said and looked away as I blushed at my own thoughts, he's a gentleman really Scarlett. "Thank you. I'd be honored if your showed me the room." I childish said and after he laughed he guided to the room holding my hand. Why don't you give him a second chance?

"Here it is." He said as we went together towards a door. After that he gave me a key. "Well, I wish you to have a g-"

"You can sleep here if you want." I said aloud as I blushed and tried to hide my face. As Arthur saw this he just smirked.
