Scarlett's point of view.

Days and weeks passed from the time we had left back at Singapore Yong and Leon, and now we were at Portugal's most famous port. Nearly four months have passed and we were still here, at our journey towards the North.

It was the third day at this port and all I could think was the storm that had occurred at the cape of Africa that made the Maiden and the Pearl to separate, making our meeting point at the sea open from Portugal.

We had set our meeting at the sea in four days from today until the next full moon. I had time to go back at Nassau and find Imogen, tell her my plans and at what I got involved into. I said that I was cooperating with another captain for more chances of finding the treasure, but as always she didn't believe me. So I told her the truth and before I left Nassau, I made a promise to her and Abraham, well mostly to Abraham. At my next visiting there, at Nassau, I will be staying as long as my plans leave me, nearly a month.

The time now was night, and all I could think was what was happening every time when the sun had set. Each night Arthur and I were sitting together drinking, playing cards and enjoying one another privatly, away from the crew's eyes. Each night was more passionate than the previous one, or better more passionate than the previous time. Not every night we enjoyed ourselves. We still had the habit of sleeping together, one hugging the other and dropping to sleep.

Now I was wondering, will this continue at a little days? Is he alive? Stop it Scarlett! He is alive! And from when did you start thinking about him?

I was ready to hit my head at the table at the pub before a hand touched gently my shoulder. "Are you alright Scarlett?" Rick's said calmly, his voice full of care.

I turned my head and saw him. Smiling faintly. He was one of the only crew members who stayed to drink and not see the sights around the port. Jack had gone, Tim too with Dave had gone for more chances for the night. Hell even Alice had went to have fun, while I was sitting, thinking of someone who might be dead. "I'm fine Rick. I'm just thinking of something." I said, trying not to meet his gaze.

"Like what?" He asked and came closer.

I sighed and started, "I'm thinking about Arthur Kirkland and the Maiden." I said and I felt him flinch a little at his sit.

"What do you mean, Scarlett?" He questioned nervously, trying to lighten the mood, he put an innocent smile.

"I'm thinking about them. I'm thinking about it because, if they dissappear or Arthur dies then we will not know where the other half of the map is. So we will be left with no treasure." I said and drank a little from my ale. Then I continued, "Anyway Rick. We will leave in two days."

"And go where?" He asked and looked again at his drink, thinking.

I took a big sip and finished my drink. Then I got up and readied myself to leave. "To the open sea, out of these waters as we have our meeting point. Now goodnight Rick." And with that I left and went towards the Pearl, to sleep comfortable with no worries, well that was what I thought.

The next day we set sail to the open sea, away from any land and any ship until the Maiden could find us. Three days passed without them giving any sight and then all my hopes were dying, one by one. Until one noon, as I was inside my quarters reading a book about art, I heard suddenly someone yelling, "A ship is coming towards us!" Then someone else, "It's the Royal Maiden! They found us!" At that I went outside running because I couldn't believe in my ears. Arthur is alive! He came! I was thinking over and over again as I was running to the wheel. "I can see that you are happy. Aren't you Scarlett?" Dave asked me and then I took notice of my smile that had formed at my lips.
