"Hello... Is anyone there? Where am I?"

"Shut the fuck up, you conniving ass bitch!"

Slap!

"Please! Somebody help me!"

Pow!

I sat up and clutched my chest and to calm myself I mumble, "It was only a dream. It was only a dream."

After my heart beat returned to its normal rate, I sprung out of bed and trotted into the hall.

"Sky!" I shouted as I entered the living room.

He's not here.

I looked in the kitchen next.

"Nope, not here either."

Then I checked in the bathroom to see if he was in there.

"Where the fuck is he?" I asked myself as I paced back into the living room to see what time it was.

10:33 AM. He must be at work.

"I guess I can do some damn homework," I told myself as I grabbed my backpack off the floor and lugged it over to the love seat to put a dent in the pile of assignments I had been procrastinating to do.

"Sasha, down!" I scolded my Pomeranian when she jumped on me, knocking my notebook and pen out of my hand. She wasn't listening to me though, that thing had a mind of her own, making herself comfy in my lap.

Shaking my head, I just let her stay in her favorite spot and pulled out my biology book to study my notes.

A few hours into my studies, I decided to take break and headed to the kitchen to find something to snack on. I opened the refrigerator to find nothing but an Arm & Hammer baking soda box resting on the shelf on the door.

I need to get some groceries!

I rushed back into the living room, grabbed the cordless phone and called Sky.

"What's up?" Sky asked when he finally answered the phone.

"Hey baby. I need to run to the store to get a few groceries. Come pick me up."

"I can't right now it's real busy. You can't get Ri to bring you?"

"Yeah I guess, what do you want to eat tonight?"

Silence.

"Sky?" I raised my voice.

"Yeah Phat, I'm here."

"You heard what I said?"

"Naw, What did you say?"

"What do you want to eat boy?"

"Oh, you don't have to fix nothing for me tonight ma, Roxie brought me something to eat from her baby shower."

"Oh... Alright then." I hung up on that nigga without even giving him as much as a goodbye.

I thought about calling Kyrielle like Sky had suggested, but that heifer had been so busy lately that I doubted she would even answer. So, I didn't even bother.

I glided into the bathroom to wash up and throw something on.

After I gave myself a once over in the mirror, I called a cab.
