"Stay still little boy!" I playfully fussed at Tyree. I was giving his bad behind a bath and he wouldn't keep still for nothing.
"Girl just let him sit in there and play, he'll get clean. Just wash his booty and his li'l pee-pee off and he good," Kyrielle yelled from her room.
I just laughed and continued to wash him. When I was done I watched him splash around in the almost waterless tub as he played with his toys.
"You ready to get out Man?" I held my hands out to pick him up.
"Yes nanny, I'm ready!" He responded, stretching his arms out and I grabbed him and wrapped him in a big towel.
"Are we about to go night-night Nanny?" he wanted to know.
"Yep we are about to go to sleep."
"But I'm not seepy," he informed me rubbing his beady eyes.
"You're not seepy?" I mocked him as I began dressing him in his favorite Spider Man footed pajamas.
"No and I want some cookies!" he squealed.
"Your mama said no cookies before bedtime."
"Pwease, Pwease! Just two. Two for me and two for you." He offered me a bribe.
"Oh so you're going to give me some of your cookies too?" I indulged him.
"Yep and only for me and for you Nanny!"
I couldn't keep a straight face with him. That little boy was just too much! "Okay just two cookies then bedtime, right?"
"Right!" On that note, I hoisted him on to my hip and we took a trip to the kitchen.
"Oooh chalk-it chip Nanny, those are my favorite." He was pointing at a box of Famous Amos cookies.
"So chocolate chip cookies are your favorite now, huh? The other day you told me Oreos were your favorite."
"Chalk-it good Nanny. I'm Chalk-it."
"Yep, you're my little chocolate baby." I picked up the box of cookies and gave it to him to hold.
"Okay now we're going to your room."
"But you're forgetting the milk!"
"Oooh, you're right! How could I forget?" I sat him on the counter top next to the fridge and filled one of his sippy-cups with milk. "Now do we have everything?"
"Yup-yup," he said before I scooped him back up and headed up the stairs to his room.
"Eat your cookies Nanny," Tyree ordered as he sat in bed and munched on his cookies and sipped his milk.
"Nanny's not hungry anymore sweetie."
"You don't like cookies?" He had the cutest little look of confusion on his face as he looked at me.
"No, nanny is just tired." I faked a yawn.
"Nanny's tired?"
"Yeah, Nanny's real tired, but I have to wait for you to go to sleep."
Just like I thought he would do, he gobbled up the rest of the cookies and handed me his sippy-cup.
"I'll go to seep now." He tucked himself in and I gave him a kiss on his forehead.
"Night-night, Nanny's baby," I sang as I got up from his bed and headed for the door.
"Goodnight," he yawned as I slowly closed the door.
