That night was filled with restless nightmares, echoing the chaos of the day before. Xiang Yun lay awake, her body wracked with coughs as she struggled to conceal her injuries. During the earlier confrontation, the doctors had examined her closely. Still, she had masked her pain, using her powers to manipulate water in a desperate attempt to flush out the toxins from her wounds.

In the heat of battle, she had been careless. As men lunged at them, hurling poisoned daggers, she had quickly erected a shimmering water shield to deflect the deadly projectiles. But in doing so, she absorbed the brunt of the attack. The price of her bravery weighed heavily on her, leaving her both physically wounded and mentally haunted throughout the night.

Morgana crumpled to the floor under the relentless assault of Chu Qiao. Pain coursed through her body, and fatigue weighed heavily on her limbs. With a deep breath, she summoned her strength and relinquished control to Xiao Feng. As if a switch had been flipped, Chu Qiao's aggressive strikes came to an abrupt halt, leaving the atmosphere tense.

Dongfang Qingcang's smirk widened as he watched Chu Qiao's face flush angrily. "You're willing to risk everything for your son's operation, yet you refuse to put your life on the line to pass on your powers to him," he taunted, his voice dripping with challenge.

Xiao Feng, her fierce spirit ignited, stood up defiantly, wiping the blood from her mouth with a resolute determination. Yuan Shuai moved protectively in front of her, his gaze fierce as he glared at Chu Qiao. "You made the choices that shaped their destinies, so don't come at me for your own mistakes," he retorted, anger simmering beneath his calm exterior.

Xiao Feng's eyes flickered to Ace, who stood rigidly, his fists clenched tight, every muscle in his body coiled with tension. The air crackled with the weight of their unspoken words, each one a reminder of the burdens they carried and the choices that lay ahead.

"If your offspring decide to forgive you one day it's up to them." Xiao Feng sighed as she stumbled while walking away. Yuan Shuai automatically helped her while Dongfang QingCang left after them. "Why haven't we left?" Dongfang QingCang asked confused. "I want those assassins she sent after them to expose themselves." Xiao Feng was helped onto a medical cot. "That's why you ordered me to tell Shangque to stay back there along with Nian Bai Yu." Dongfang Qingcang asked while his brother glanced at him.

"Though the children can do a pretty decent job against them, the problem lies with Yugi and the Pharaoh.." Xiao Feng said annoyed. "You mean they can use them as hostages." Yuan Shuai suggested as she answered with a nod. "Why did you let her beat you up?" Huang Chao asked annoyed at having to heal her. "She doesn't know Bai Yan gave the order for him to stay wherever we are, and that poison can be lethal if he is transported." Xiao Feng answered as Huang Chao eyed her.

"Did you read the charts?" He was confused about how she knew that information. "I once had an encounter with such poison... the person died." Xiao Feng tried avoiding everyone's eyes as she arranged her clothes. Dongfang QingCang looked at his brother who also looked at her curious expression, he didn't know. Xiao Feng got flashbacks of one of the times she tried saving Baal their enemies had shoved that lethal poison. Even more lethal than Huanling powder since it was made from the remains of dead gods.

"The Orichalcos stone remnants of what was the original Leviathan," Morgana spoke as her eyes turned turquoise. "You mean the one that was unsealed?" Huang Chao asked as they all wondered what she was talking about. "Sit down let me tell you a story." Morgana sat down and gestured for the others to do the same. "It's about the first sea god and the abyssal witch." Morgana gave an eye smile to Dongfang QingCang who swore heard the sea waves just now. "She was given as a sacrifice for the sea god yet only for her to save him in the form of a bond." Morgana looked at her brother as he slowly reached into his chest.
