Here We Stand

Xiao Feng walked away from the training area teleporting back to her room in her villa. "What am I doing?" Xiao Feng paced back and forth. "He's my grandfather for god's sake how am I going to do that to him." Xiao Feng pulled on her hair as she kept reflecting. "Did he really betray me or was he framed?" Xiao Feng sat on the edge of her bed sighing. "Do I really want vengeance for what Atem did to me?" Xiao Feng looked at her full-size mirror where the Devil God was standing there looking her amused.

"Having second thoughts already?" The Devil God mocked as it crossed their arms. Xiao Feng looked down trying to shut them off. "You don't remember every single time the hell he put you through!" The Devil god yelled angered. "Don't even say it's love because he never loved you!" The Devil god glared at her as she looked at them. "He wanted control over Valindria and you were the access to it, our people are in stone tablets for god sake wake up!" The Devil god yelled as Xiao Feng ran to the mirror. Placing her hand over her face as she shook trying to not yell at the mirror's reflection.

"Are you sure about that?" Xiao Feng felt like she was trying to evade the truth from Atem's past. "Fine for yourself." The Devil god used its powers to make her see part of the past. "My pharaoh in order to keep the power of the millennium items we have to sacrifice them." Aknadin pleaded as Atem and his council stood inside a prison. "They are citizens of Valindria how can you say that!" Atem grabbed Aknadin by the collar. "In order to suppress the darkness inside your wife and have control over valindria's resources you must." Aknadin looked down at Atem as he released him.

Atem closing his eyes as he turned around. "Where's the decree?" Atem asked as he reached his hand out. Mahad hesitated but gave him the decree since Seth kept shoving him. "Any Valindrian off the city limits and out of their own country must be captured and turned into shadow monsters that will be placed in stone." Seth recalled what the decree Aknadin made him write for the Pharaoh. "Pharoh please don't do this to us!" A woman yelled as she reached her hands out the cage bars.

Atem sighed deeply signing the decree then leaving as people of all ages were dragged away for the ritual. Atem once outside covered his ears upon hearing the screams. "What have I done..." Atem cried as he fell down to the ground on his knees regretting what he signed. Once back in the palace Atem ran around chasing Aknadin and Shimon. "Can we please revert the decree I signed?" Atem asked as Aknadin sighed. "My pharaoh once you sign and issue a decree is irrevocable." Shimon said as he held the decree in his hands. "No there must be a way!" Atem yelled frustrated as he made the officials look at him. "Is something wrong?" Xiao Feng walked towards them as Shimon hid the papyri. "No, my beautiful wife just needs to focus on keeping the baby safe." Atem pulled her into his arms as Xiao Feng frowned knowing he was hiding something.

The vision ended and Xiao Feng dropped to her knees as tears fell down. "So that's what he was hiding all the time..." Xiao Feng sobbed feeling her heart breaking. Xiao Feng conflicted in between letting everything go and making the pharaoh pay for his wrong doings was tearing her up inside. Xiao Feng screeched as she released a powerful wave of energy due to be being unstable within her mind and heart. Causing the mirrors in her room shattered. She dropped her hands in the floor on top of the glass shards without seeing them due to her tears blurring her vision.

"What the hell was that!" Yuan Shaui entered but stopped seeing the glass all over the floor. "I can't I don't want to but he must pay!" Xiao Feng yelled as she was going to grab her face to clean her eyes but had glass in them with blood. Yuan Shaui teleported in front of her stopping her. "We will find a way to... being honest I don't know what we are doing anymore." Yuan Shaui tried to make her feel better, but he couldn't find anything to say. "Is this for revenge or there's something at play here?" Yuan Shaui looked down at her bloodied hands as she sobbed. "In order to defeat the devil god is scarfing ourselves..." Yuan Shaui weighted his options. "Then there's our second enemy the empyrean... or is he the key to help us destroy the devil god?" Yuan Shaui shook his head and focused on Xiao Feng right now.
