When Lindsey helped Quentin unpack his backpack after school, she was shocked to discover that his comfort items were in a state of disrepair. The stuffed animal was covered in mold, and some of the sensory toys were broken.
Concerned for her little brother's well-being, Lindsey immediately took the items to her mother. "Mom, look at Quentin's comfort items! They're covered in mold and some of them are broken. He needs new ones as soon as possible."
Their mother, Susan, gasped in horror when she saw the condition of Quentin's comfort items. "Oh no! Quentin must be so upset," she said, feeling guilty that she hadn't noticed the state of the items sooner.
Together, Lindsey and Susan immediately made plans to replace Quentin's comfort items with new ones that were clean and safe for him to use.
