After the surgery, Dr. Guy went to check on Clyde in the recovery room. He was surprised to find Clyde sobbing quietly in his bed, clutching his plush banana tightly.
Concerned, Dr. Guy approached Clyde's bedside and asked gently, "Clyde, what's wrong? Are you in pain?"
Clyde shook his head, unable to speak through his tears. Dr. Guy sat down beside him and waited patiently for Clyde to gather his thoughts.
Finally, Clyde spoke. "I'm just so overwhelmed," he said, his voice choked with emotion. "I'm grateful for the surgery, but I'm also feeling scared and vulnerable. And I miss my mom and Roxanne."
Dr. Guy nodded sympathetically. "It's completely normal to feel that way after a surgery, Clyde," he said. "But I want you to know that you're in good hands here, and we'll do everything we can to make you feel comfortable and safe."
