Clyde took a deep breath and looked into Roxanne's eyes. He could see the sincerity and understanding in her gaze, and he felt a sense of clarity wash over him.
"Actually, Roxanne," he began, his voice trembling with emotion. "I think I've changed my mind. I may not be at my best right now, but I can't imagine going through this without you. If you're willing to be patient with me, I'd love to give us a chance."
Roxanne's face lit up with joy and relief. "Really? You mean it?" she asked, her voice filled with hope.
Clyde nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Yes, I mean it. I want to be with you, Roxanne. I know we can help each other through this."
The two friends embraced, feeling a renewed sense of purpose and strength in each other's arms.
