After completing a series of intricate and complicated surgeries on Clyde, Susan finally had the chance to focus on his comfort and wellbeing. She gently placed a warm bottle of milk in his hands and guided him through a series of deep burps, helping to alleviate the discomfort he felt from the procedures.
Next, Susan turned her attention to Clyde's wet and messy pull-ups, carefully changing them and disposing of the soiled diaper. She then called Roxanne, who rushed to Clyde's side, eager to help in any way she could.
Roxanne lovingly dressed Clyde in a fresh Lightning McQueen pullup, his favorite character, and tucked him into his toddler bed—a necessary precaution due to his condition, even though he was 16 years old and a sophomore in high school.
To provide Clyde with additional comfort, Roxanne surrounded him with his cherished items: his plush Lightning McQueen toy, Rastafarian banana plush toy, foam letters and numbers, shapes from Guyana, a Kool-Aid blanket, and even a soft pair of scrubs.
