Chapter 11

I just got out of the hospital, the cast was off and I could walk again. The doctor's said that my bones might ache for a few hours, but that was it. So I was all happy, I was out, I was getting a new car, and I could go and visit my mate. My mom had picked me up and drove me home, my parents insisted that I rest in my room, but I just couldn't, my wolf wouldn't let me.

So here I was, walking to the tree that me and Ryan had met at so many times before, I was hoping that he'd be there today as well. It felt nice to be outside and away from the chemical smell of the hospital. I could hear the river in the distance, so I was getting close. I never have realized just how far away I am from my house until now.

It took me a few more minutes before I was at the clearing, I walked over to the tree and sat down, with my back against it. I waited there for a while, just listening to nature and taking it all in. A twig snapped close by, catching my attention, I watched the forest for a few seconds then shrugged. It wasn't until the smell hit me that I knew who it was.

I turned back to the forest and watched as my mate walked out of the trees. I smiled at the sight of him. His hazel eyes locked onto me as he walked over.

"Where the hell have you been?" His anger was rolling off in waves.

"Sorry, my phone broke, I was in the hospital," he kneeled down and touched my torso lightly.

"Are you okay? I shouldn't have yelled at you, sorry," he chuckled and cupped his cheek.

"It's fine, you didn't know, and I'm fine now," he cuddled close to me. "Some jerk hit me with his truck, I only had a few broken bones. But I'm getting a new car." He looked up at me with a smile.

"Your optimistic," I shrugged.

"It's not good to always see the darker side of things, so I try not too, and in this case I don't have too think much," he laughed and kissed me on the cheek.

"I don't know why, but I missed you a lot," I hugged him close to me.

"It's cause I'm your mate, your wolf might not be fully there, but even he knows," Ryan placed his head under my chin and we cuddled for a while. I kissed him on the forehead and pulled him onto my chest. "I've missed you too."

"That was like ten minutes ago, you know right?"

"I was enjoying the moment," he looked at me with a smile. I kissed him gently.

"So what's next with us?" I smiled and laughed to myself.

"Well, we have to mate; I have to mark; you have to come out to your parents, as at least bisexual; you have to let the school know we are together; we have to introduce you to the pack as my mate and introduce you in general," he looked away from me for a second, then looked back with a nervous smile.

"Some of those I'm all for, others...not so much," I rubbed his back soothingly.

"Well which ones are you for?" He smiled and blushed at me, hiding his face I'm my chest.

"Well, mating would be okay, marking me sounds good, and I guess introducing me to the pack," I laughed.

"I bet you would be okay with those," he glared up at me.

"What does that mean?"

"Oh nothing, but mating won't be what you will want," he sat up a bit so he could look into my eyes.

"And that means?"

"Your expecting to be the top, aren't you?" He nodded, still looking at me. "Well guess what? I'm the top."
