>Danny’s POV<

Chapter 17

I rushed down stairs to the loud yelling coming from my father. I saw are beta standing, while Lachlan and Arturo sat on the couch, Lachlan was in tears while Arturo glared up at my dad while he comforted his mate.

“What’s going on down here?” I asked, my dad spun on me.

“Another pack invaded are territory earlier today,” I shook my head. That wasn’t possible, are war wolves were always on patrol, and nothing got past those massive tanks.

“How is that possible?”

“It was a small group of them, maybe fifteen strong, the alpha was with them, as soon as the war wolves charged in they all ran out of are territory,” my dad looked steamed. “Apparently they saw Lachlan running from the direction they were coming from, so want to explain that?”

“I already did!” He said through his sobs, he seemed frustrated.

“Dad,” I pushed my dad away from them and kneeled down so I was looking at Lachlan. “How about you explain it to me?” He nodded and started to explain what transpired there. “So he came for you?”

“Yes, to finish what he started years ago, I’m the last remaining member of my pack, he’s killed the rest off, including my family,” I sighed.

“So how do we get him to stop?”

“Kill him,” he simply stated.

“Well that can’t be that hard,” Lachlan shook his head.

“His pack controls all of Ireland,” I groaned and rested on the ground.

“So why is he after you?”

“I have no idea, I don’t know why he killed my pack either,” I rubbed my face.

“So he’s only after you?”

“Yes, but now that I’m with a pack, he’ll kill the whole pack,” he was still crying, and that only made him cry harder. “He’s done it with every pack that I’ve ever gotten close to, and he always kills them all, but he wont kill children of the packs, I guess its his rule. He will kill anyone who stand between him and his goal, he’ll kill anyone who attacks him or his pack, even little kids, but if they are just cowering he’ll ignore them completely.”

“So he’ll only leave the kids?”

“Also women, he does have some dignity, I guess,” Lachlan seemed disgusted by this guy. “He’ll force them into his pack, apparently he treats his pack with kindness, but I don’t believe it.” I got up and ruffled his hair out of habit, for when I’d talk to little kids who did something bad. Arturo gave me a warning growl but I ignored it and smiled, ruffling his hair quickly before going into the kitchen, dragging my father with me.

“You don’t believe him?” I asked him.

“No I don’t,” he said, glaring behind me.

“I would, why would he be this freaked out about it if he was faking?” My dad sighed.

“Fine, what do you think we should do?” I was taken aback. My dad had never asked me to help with something like this before, but of course I was going to be the alpha in a few months.

“Find as much help as we possibly can, and hope for the best,” my dad sighed and nodded. Kyla came into the kitchen, looking pissed off.

“What the hell is all the yelling about!? I’m trying to get my kits to have a nap, and have one myself!”
